Chapter 758 Michael Doesn’t Deserve Such Severe Consequences
Jojo and Coco’s Unexpected Love
"Leah, how could you be like Father and not take my side?"
"Why did you insist on marrying a controversial woman?" Ophelia retorted, "Ordinary people would
have reservations about marrying divorcees, let alone an actress. Besides being pretty, she doesn't
have any other merits. Sheâs ill-suited for you, and she's not up to our standards."
"If she's controversial, it only means that people are jealous of her. If Vee wasn't outstanding, why
would people be discussing her?" Kenneth said in Xaviaâs defense. "You're still young and don't
understand these things."
Ophelia, who was originally upset with her father, now directed her anger at her brother. She stared
at Kenneth as if he were an idiot and said, "I can't believe how stupid you become when in love."
"How could you say that to me, Leah? Iâve never said such words to you when you were dating
someone." Although he disliked Otto, he had not stopped his sister from getting to know him. Why
was it different now that he was in a relationship?
"I agreed to date Otto because he's good-looking. It's just a way to pass the time. He's definitely
unsuitable to be my husband. All the men within the royal family are too serious and boring. Otto's
fun, he's handsome, and he knows how to please me, so why can't I play with him for a while?"
Ophelia said.
Kenneth corrected her, "Leah, you can't play with other people's feelings like that. It's not right."
"Oh please. It's tiring talking to you. It isnât right for you to get into a relationship with a mistress
either. Anyway, I'm going shopping. Don't bother me."
Annoyed, Ophelia unbuckled her seatbelt and got out, slamming the car door shut and walking
toward the nearby mall. Kenneth watched her walk away, feeling hesitant to speak. At that moment,
Xavia suddenly called him.
"Are you busy right now? Thereâs something wrong with the lights in my house. Can you come over
and fix them for me?"

Noah was kept busy until late at night. By the time he saw all the guests off, it was already an hour
to midnight. Dealing with guests had been more tiring than he had imagined, but he was happy.
After all, he was about to marry the woman he loved, and the thought of waking up to Chloe's
beautiful face every morning filled his heart with joy.
After changing into a fresh set of clothes and confirming he did not reek of alcohol, Noah went to
knock on Chloe's door. "Are you asleep?"
Though there was no response from inside, he heard faint footsteps and the door opened. Chloe
had calmed herself after a few hours, and her face showed no signs of distress. However, Noah
noticed the pen drive on the table and his heart skipped a beat.
"Are you working?"
"It's not work."
"Then what is it?"
"Joseph gave it to me. Do you want to see it?"
Chloe stared directly into Noah's eyes, trying to detect any signs of deception. However, his eyes
remained as pure and clear as water. Despite being in the professional world for many years, they
still held a hint of innocence, making him look like a fresh upstart. No matter how she looked at it,
he did not seem like someone who would play tricks.
Noah rubbed his hands together. He sobered up as he understood what she meant. "All right, let's
watch it."
Chloe raised an eyebrow, suddenly feeling a sense of confusion. She just could not understand him.
Nevertheless, she reinserted the pen drive and clicked play. The video was short and it ended in
just a few minutes.
Noah remained calm throughout the entire video and sighed deeply, "Yes, it's true. I did it."
Chloe's heart trembled, "But why? Michael never did anything to us."
"Because he likes you. He was willing to forgo any reward just to work with you. To eliminate future
troubles, I chose to crush that idea in its infancy. I did nothing wrong."
It served Michael right for trying to sow discord between him and Chloe, and for deliberately
informing him about Joseph's arrival. If Michael had wanted to avoid trouble, he should not have
messed with his relationship.
"What are you talking about, Noah?"
As an adult, Chloe was aware of Michael's excessive enthusiasm toward her, but it did not mean he
deserved such severe consequences. There was a high probability that Michael's feeling toward her
was just a fleeting infatuation. Using such an extreme approach to deal with him was unjust.
Seeing the shock in Chloe's eyes, Noah's brows furrowed. "Chloe, donât look at me like that."
"You casually destroyed someone's future with millions of dollars. Tell me, how should I look at
you?"
