Chapter 768 She Was Jealous of Chloe’s Seemingly Effortless Success

Joseph was not surprised by Noah's condition. On the contrary, he simply raised an eyebrow and

asked, "If she goes with you, can I visit her anytime?"

He saw this as an opportunity to improve his relationship with Chloe. Since the chance had

presented itself, he would not refuse.

Noah hesitated and pondered for a moment. "All right, sure."

He knew that only by keeping Vanya close to him could he have complete control over the situation

and prevent her from leaking unnecessary information. He could also guess what Joseph was

thinking.

"Okay, let’s do it then," Joseph agreed. Vince then got two men to take Vanya to the location Noah

had arranged for.

Zoelle took out a diamond-encrusted business card from her designer handbag and handed it to

Joseph. "Would you like a new friend, handsome?"

"No thanks," Joseph replied calmly.

"How about a new wife then?" she flirted boldly.

A little-known fact about Zoelle was that she liked collecting handsome men from around the globe.

Once she obtained them, she would vanish without a trace. If in a good mood, she might keep them

around a little longer.

Joseph's gaze lingered on Zoelle for three seconds before shifting to Chloe. As a flirtatious smile

tugged his lips, he said, "Wives and mistresses are all the same to me. After all, I enjoy the

excitement."

Chloe's face flushed red. Of course, she understood what he was implying. He was practically

stating it outright!

A hint of displeasure crossed Noah's face, but he maintained his cool. After all, Chloe was now with

him. Joseph was clearly just provoking him.

Zoelle's eyes lit up at Joseph's response. She chuckled. "I feel the same way. Call me if you have

the time."

Joseph remained silent and tucked away the business card. Zoelle blew a kiss at him before closing

the car door with a satisfied smile.

Staring at the departing car, Vince asked skeptically, "Sir, are you really going to see that foxy

lady?"

"Huh? Foxy lady?"

Vince spoke solemnly, "Absolutely! She's alluring and beautiful, just like a fox."

Joseph was stumped, though he had to admit that Vince was right.

work. She had not heard from Cyrus since then, and surprisingly, Joseph had not asked her much

about Vanya either. Maybe he had contacted Zoelle in private.

"Ms. Chloe, there's an invitation for you to attend a party. It seems to be from Princess Carolina.

Here, I brought it up with me," Frieda said as she placed an invitation card on Chloe’s desk.

Chloe glanced at it and she froze. "Carolina? Callum's wife?"

She recalled that a few luxurious limited-edition items had remained unsold this year, and her initial

plan was to invite a popular young actor to promote them at an exclusive event. However, she

heard that royals were fond of jewelry.

'Maybe I should go. After all, it's something I’ll have to face sooner or later,' she thought.

The next day, Chloe put on a mint-green dress to attend the party. The fresh color complemented

her fair and delicate skin, and the pearl necklace around her neck added a perfect touch. The

moment she stepped foot in the venue, she attracted everyone's attention.

When Callum spotted Chloe, he brought Carolina with him to greet her. With a composed

demeanor, Carolina welcomed Chloe by saying, "Please, have a seat. Some guests have yet to

arrive."

"Thank you, Mdm. Carolina."

As one of the housekeepers guided Chloe to her seat, she saw that Joseph had arrived.

He patted the seat beside him. "Sit."

She observed him for a moment before ultimately taking the seat he offered.

When a handsome man and a beautiful woman were together, they often attracted extra attention.

From the shadows, Clara stared at Chloe resentfully. "Why does the illegitimate daughter get to sit

at a table while I can’t?" she cursed under her breath.

Clara had served the royal family for more than ten years, and even compared to Xavia, she was

even more jealous of Chloe's seemingly effortless success.

"Wow, she's gorgeous. And I think she isn’t even wearing makeup. I haven't seen someone like her

in a while," Chad Wilson commented as his lewd gaze lingered on Chloe. He nudged Clara and

asked, "Who’s that?"

"The illegitimate daughter."

"Oh, she's the one? I thought she’d be a plain-looking girl."

Clara's eyes darted around before slyly saying, "Are you thinking of pursuing her? I can help you

with that."

Chad was a well-known playboy within the royal family. Clara too had fallen victim to his advances

when she just came of age. However, he shamelessly abandoned her and refused to take

responsibility for his actions. If Chloe's reputation was tarnished, she might not be able to marry into

the Sullivan family.

He stroked his chin and asked, "Is she favored? I don’t want Callum coming after me."

"If she were favored, they'd have accepted her into the royal family long ago. Why would they wait

until now?" Clara offered her analysis. "I'm sure Mdm. Carolina would be delighted if you helped her

solve her problem."

Chad playfully pinched Clara's buttocks and said, "You've got a point. So, how are you going to help

me?"

Clara grinned coldly. "Just wait and see."
