Chapter 804 Setting up One’s Public Image
Jojo and Coco’s Unexpected Love
âWow, Ms. Chloe. We had no idea you were a real-life rich, noble lady."
"I'm sure you'll become a part of the royal family after tonight's party."
"Youâve reached the moon before even hitting thirty, and youâre so pretty and capable. I'm so
jealous of you!"
"All right, thatâs enough. This isnât just because sheâs lucky. Itâs because sheâs hard-working too."
Chloe smiled and sent her colleagues off before sitting down to work. After they left, Frieda came in
and consoled Chloe, "Don't be nervous. Tonightâs your show. Lead it and show those who look
down on you what's what."
"I'm not nervous. I just feel like Iâm being put on the spot."
Chloe originally had no wish to be associated with the royal family, but now, she had to clarify her
stand. If she admitted her relationship to Callum, she might have no choice in becoming part of the
royal family.
Frieda smiled. "You have the choice to decide if you want to be a part of the royal family or not."
"Are you saying that I can clarify things without becoming a part of the royal family?" Chloe hung
her head dispiritedly. "Will Callum agree to that? Itâll be like Iâm treating the royal family as a
stepping stone."
"It does depend on Callum, but he was the one who wronged you, right? Second, you can use this
chance to prove your mother's innocence to the public. Also, you can also prove that you're not vain
and that you kept on living your life the way it was after learning that Callum is your father. You're
not blinded by power and know what you want."
Chloe blinked and said wittily, "Frieda, are you telling me how to set up my public image?"
"I guess so. All those public opinions must have affected you. If you maintain a good public image,
it'll be of great help when you take over Exotic Star in the future."
On the surface, it was Desmond's decision whether Chloe could take over Exotic Star, but Noah's
contribution to the company over the years was well-established. If he wanted, he could pull some
strings and get the shareholders to stir up trouble. It would then be hard for Chloe to manage the
company.
Chloe nodded firmly. "That's reasonable." She had met too many vulgar and unspeakable people in
her life. It was time she looked out for herself.
Chloe then suddenly thought of something and looked at Frieda hesitantly. "Are you giving me
advice because of Joseph?"
Frieda was usually quiet, her distant personality resembling that of someone else Chloe knew.
When Chloe asked this question, Frieda smiled. "Of course not. The only thing I can say is that Joe
gained something in return. Otherwise, weâd never have reunited with each other.â
âI just happened to give you guys a chance. The main thing is that youâve suffered in silence and hid
yourself well." Chloe looked at Frieda with admiration.
Frieda had been imprisoned for over twenty years, not just twenty days. She was separated from
the world and had no one to rely on. Her not turning into a madwoman was a testament to her
strong will. And she managed to escape. Frieda truly was unwavering.
Chloe and Noah arrived at the party at eight o'clock that night. Chloe wore a pair of high heels and a
sequined, champagne slip dress. Her long hair was let loose and reached to her waist. She looked
sexy but not ostentatious.
She had on light makeup. Her pink lips looked naturally plump, and the graceful and neat makeup
accentuated her delicate features. Her slender neck looked sensual, especially paired with her
curvy figure.
Chloe looked like had stepped out of a painting, devastatingly beautiful.
Noah was adorned in a suit of the same color in an attempt to make them look like the perfect
match, but he was simply too young. They merely looked like a pair of siblings.
Chloe held onto Noah's arm as they entered the hall. While walking down the red carpet, everyone
around watched them intently. They were jealous, amazed, and curious, and there was one cold
glare that was too obvious to be ignored.
Chloe did not have to look up to know that it was Joseph.
"Wow, your eyes are glued to her," Otto, dressed in a tailcoat, teased Joseph.
