Chapter 809 Mr. Joseph, Don’t You Feel Lonely?
Jojo and Coco’s Unexpected Love
Chloe suppressed the urge to roll her eyes, wondering how she had never noticed his
shamelessness. "Shut up. Clara will be heading this way soon."
"Even better if she does." Joseph adjusted his clothes, showing a trace of cold indifference.
Chloe blinked and pointed to the side. She said with a touch of mischief in her tone, "I'll be right
over there enjoying the show."
A faint smile played on Joseph's lips. "Good girl."
Chloe tiptoed to the side and crouched down.
"Oh, youâre here, Mr. Joseph!" Clara's surprised voice soon rang out.
"Yes? Youâre looking for me?"
"No, we just happened to bump into each other. Fate mustâve brought us together." Despite
Joseph's silence and refusal to acknowledge her, Clara feigned care and continued, "There can be
many mosquitoes around here at night. Here, let me spray some mosquito repellent on you."
Joseph glanced at Clara indifferently and did not stop her. Chloe could tell he was holding his
breath to avoid inhaling the spray.
"I'll spray it." Joseph suddenly grabbed the spray bottle, directed its nozzle toward the unsuspecting
Clara, and squeezed.
"Ah!" Clara let out a startled cry, unable to evade the spray. "Don't spray it on me!"
Concealed by the darkness of night, Joseph's frigid demeanor was less noticeable as he gazed at
Clara with icy detachment. "Whatâs with the panic? Did someone ruffle your feathers?"
Quickly covering her mouth, Clara shifted to a coquettish expression. "No... It's just that the stuff in
the spray bottle is a little cold. I donât want to catch a chill."
Joseph must have breathed in a little of the spray. A little exposure should not hurt her. It might even
make both of them more involved. Clara mused over the matter, lost in her fantasies as she
unconsciously leaned closer to the man before her.
Joseph raised his hand in a gesture of refusal, asking, "What are you trying to do?"
The drug's effects coursed through Clara's veins rapidly, causing her body to flush with a desperate
yearning for release. In her heightened state, she imagined that he must be experiencing something
similar. She cast aside all her inhibitions. "I want to be with you, Mr. Joseph. Don't you feel lonely?"
Joseph's expression turned into a frown, a flash of repulsion crossing his features. "Do you
genuinely wish to be with me?"
"Yes!"
"Then wait for me in that room over there, Room 1."
Clara accepted the key card he handed to her, recognizing that it was for one of the guest rooms
prepared by the royal family for tonight's party attendees. As she comprehended his intent, her gaze
filled with flirtatiousness. "Sure, but hurry. Donât keep me waiting."
Men were all the same. They just could not control their desires. But at least he was thoughtful
enough to not make love outdoors where it would not be safe.
As soon as Clara left, Chloe emerged from the shadows. She covered her mouth and nose, wary of
inhaling the lingering spray. "Why did you lure her into the room?"
"Iâm granting her wish, the company of a man."
Chloe was taken aback, "With whom?"
Joseph's lips curved into a mischievous smile, "Chad Wilson."
"...But he hardly qualifies as a man now, right?"
"That's what makes it amusing.â He glanced at Chloe. "It was Chad who gave the recording to the
paparazzi."
Chloe was stunned and a shiver ran down her spine. "So it really was him."
"Yes, usually, the outside world isnât allowed to investigate the royal family, and he exploited that
loophole."
"Itâs no wonder we came up empty-handed despite mobilizing many connections."
Chad had managed to conceal himself effectively, leaving behind no trace. Besides confirming that
the culprit had the voice of a man, nothing else could be discerned.
"Chadâs here too."
Chloe gaped at Joseph, surprised. "You got him to come here?"
