Chapter 852 The Scene Was Horrifying as if From a Movie

Jojo and Coco’s Unexpected Love

Joseph raised his eyebrows slightly and said, "I can do it anytime."

“Are you treating me like a child?" Harold's eyes widened in anger as he huffed. If he could deal

with her anytime, then why drag it out until now?

“Chloe’s planning something as well, and it's halfway done."

"I see. So you're waiting in line huh…" Harold nodded.

Since Chloe was going to teach Xavia a lesson first, he felt he could wait. After everything was

settled, he would step in and wrap things up. He wanted Xavia to know that just because he was old

did not mean he had forgotten everything and did not care.

When Joseph heard the word "in line," his lips twitched. "I'm going to go on."

"Be careful on the road. The path up the mountain is rough. Don't drive into a ditch."

Joseph twirled the car keys in his hand and stuffed his hands in his pockets. Without looking back,

he said, "I will."

As Harold watched Joseph’s receding figure, his heart pounded. He did not know why but he felt

anxious and breathless.

Patrick noticed this and hurriedly brought an oxygen tank to Harold. "Are you all right, sir? I'll get the

doctor right away."

Harold took a few breaths from the oxygen tank, his pale eyebrows furrowing together. He paused

and said, "It's nothing. Maybe I'm just getting old, so I tend to think and worry too much."

Joseph had always been reliable. He got his driver's license as soon as he reached the legal age,

and he had been driving for over a decade now. He was just going to pay his respects, so nothing

should go wrong.

It was a Saturday, and it took forty minutes to reach the city center from the family home.

After passing the toll, the cars on the road thinned out and Joseph sped up. Suddenly, he spotted

an SUV following him through the rearview mirror. He glanced at the driver's seat. It was a man.

Including the driver, there were probably four people in the car.

Throughout the journey, besides them, there were no other cars on the road.

Joseph slowed down and moved to the side of the road. The car followed suit. His jaw tightened, his

expression showing no emotion. Suddenly, he stepped on the gas and accelerated.

The speeds between the two cars had been fairly close, but now, he opened up a significant gap.

The car behind him was stunned for a moment, then immediately accelerated. Since there were no

other vehicles on the mountain road, they quickly caught up with him.

Just as the car behind was preparing to go all out and press down on the gas pedal to catch up,

Joseph suddenly made a turn at a fork in the road. The car behind did not react quickly enough and

overshot.

Switching lanes, Joseph positioned his car behind the SUV, turning from being followed to the

pursuer.

The road ahead led all the way to the top of the mountain with no side roads. Joseph smirked as his

eyes gleamed coldly. He floored the gas pedal and rammed into the back of the SUV. A massive

collision echoed as sparks flew. In the blink of an eye, the SUV was pushed back around ten

meters, with half of its front end precariously perched on the edge of a cliff.

"Damn it! You two, get out of the car and take him down!" the driver shouted angrily, wiping the cold

sweat from his forehead and carefully maneuvering the car backward to a safer position.

The two people in the back seat had not anticipated that Joseph would detect them so quickly. They

grabbed knives from the glove compartment, got out of the car, and went for the wheels of Joseph's

vehicle. With knives in their hands, they charged toward him.

The scene was horrifying as if ripped straight from a movie. They knew that once they got Joseph

out of his car, the rest would be easier to handle. No matter how skilled a single person was, they

would struggle against multiple attackers.
