Chapter 13 ~ My Naive Mate

I woke up to two little monsters crawling all over me like I am a Jungle Gym! Darius was trying to tickle me.. and Derek was sticking a wet finger in my ear screaming “Wet Willie!” I laughed.. grabbing them both.. blowing raspberries on their little tummies.. to them squealing and giggling.

Hearing a chuckle in the doorway, I squeaked and ran to the closet to throw some clothes on. I was only wearing boy shorts and a cami.

I could hear the boys yelling “Higher, Daddy! Throw me higher!” And all three of their laughter filling the air! I walk back into the room in a hoodie and leggings.. and my breath caught in my chest. Kieran was shirtless, in a pair of sweatpants.. his tattoos on full display.. his sleepy smile showing his dimples. He really is a beautiful man! Damn!

His head swiveled in my direction and he asked “What?” I shook my head, telling him “Seeing our boys so happy, makes my heart smile! I regret not allowing them time with you before now.”

He whispers “Don’t do that! You are not to blame for any of this. The fault is mine.. I am the one responsible. I will regret that for the rest of my life. And if you were to allow me, I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you.”

I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his waist. It is our first official touch.. and the sparks are dancing across my skin. My heart flutters, and I realize I am starting to forgive him. I said “We have a long way to go, Kieran.. but I, Calista Moore, accept you Alpha Kieran Knight, as my mate.. now and forever!”

As he repeated his acceptance of me, our bond snapped into place.. an extreme rush of power and energy infused our bodies..and the earth literally moved. He asked “Did you feel that?” I silently nodded.. lost in my head.

The boys ran into our legs, holding tight. Derek yells “We aren’t bastids no more! We have Mommy and Daddy together!” Kieran laughed “Together, forever.. My little man!” I cupped the back of Darius’ head, as he looked up at me.. his little lovelight shining in his eyes. Then he says “I want pancakes and bacon!” Causing me to bust out laughing.

I lift him up onto my hip and tell him “Yes, monkeybutt! Priorities!! Food matters! Mommy will cook this morning!” Both our boys yell “Yayyy!” and run for the door. Kieran shouts “I will be down to help in five minutes!”

I was mixing pancake batter and frying bacon, by the time the kitchen staff showed up. The boys each grabbed a slice of bacon off the plate, and one of the girls whacked Derek’s hand with a spatula. I slammed her head into the refrigerator door and snarled “Were you not present yesterday when your Alpha made the announcement?”

Her eyes got huge and tried to start apologizing. I flipped out. “Don’t bother fucking apologizing! This shit stops now! Let me guess.. once upon a time.. the Alpha fucked you, too! Anddd, by the look on your face, I guessed correctly! What’s your name?”….. What Is Your Fucking Name?” She mumbles “Lydia”

I look at the twins “Derek, go let Daddy know Mommy would like to speak with him.. okie dokie, pokie?” Kieran says “No need! Daddy is right here.” He bent over, examining Derek’s little fingers. When he raised his head and looked at Lydia, I said “Damn girl! You’re lucky that looks can’t Actually kill somebody!”

Kieran growled “Explain yourself, Lydia! You put hands on MY SON! You are an Omega! Do you know what my mate could do to you? Do NOT think for one second I would stop her!”

I looked at Kieran and said “I want to speak privately with you.. but it will have to wait until the boys go down for a nap! I can’t trust your pack members to not hurt them!” I fixed plates of food for my sons and walked away.

Getting them strapped into their high chairs, I hear Kieran roar “PACK MEETING IMMEDIATELY AFTER BREAKFAST!” Then he sat beside us, helping Darius cut his pancake. I asked “May I address your pack at the meeting?” He smiles “Of course, they will be your pack, as well!”

I deadpanned “Not if shit doesn’t change.. and right away!” I went back to eating.. but then pushed my plate away. I had lost my appetite. Kieran leaned close to me.. whispered in my ear “I am so sorry! Please let me make this right. Nothing like this will ever happen again. I swear to you!”

I am beyond irate! These women are going to learn.. TO-day! They’re fixing to find out they are biting off more than they can chew! Cole volunteered to take the boys to the pond to catch minnows, so Kieran and I can have a little talk.

As soon as he closed the door, I said how many! He asked “How many what?” I sneered at him “Do not do that! You don’t get to play dumb.. not when you know what I am pissed about!”

He sighed and said “Four more.” I groaned and said “Are you fucking serious? You couldn’t decide if you wanted a mate.. so instead, you plowed the whole field by yourself!? How many are members of Valerie’s posse?”

He, at least, has the ability to look sheepish “Two.. I will address this entire situation in a few minutes.” I turned around and tell him “No! I will address it! If I am to be Luna, eventually, I will start out the way I plan to continue!”

He grins now and says “Absolutely, my Luna! Shall we go take control of this pack?” I said “You handle the pack! The whores are mine!”

Kieran stood on the platform in the backyard.. and addressed the pack “When I announced my sons and mate to the pack yesterday, what part of it was misunderstood? You have a grievance, now is the time to air it! Get it off your chest, today! My sons have been assaulted.. Both days they have been here. They are babies! Two years old! Mere toddlers! When did this pack become a bunch of assholes who abuse children? Help me out here! I admit to being quite curious!”

A woman in the back asks “How do we know they are your pups? You always said your mate will make us weak.. and every one of the she-wolves in this pack believed you would choose one of them!”

He started to respond and I stopped him. I stepped in front of him.. holding his hand on my waist “I am Kieran’s True Mate.. we met over two years ago! We mated, but never marked! He wasn’t sure he wanted a mate.. and I wasn’t sure I was ready. I was only sixteen! I moved overseas to finish school and he stayed here.. trying on different hats to see if he liked the fit, better. Now… obviously, none of those hats fit! And I am no longer a child. We have accepted each other.. and are moving forward in our relationship.. with OUR sons! Any one of you she-wolves who believe you are better suited for my mate.. is welcome to challenge me.. just be aware of the fact, when you lose.. and you WILL lose.. this pack is no longer your home.”

Kieran hugged my back to his chest, he whispered “No one will challenge you. It is still my right to decide if I chose them.. if by some miracle they won!”

I chuckled and told him “For someone who knows A LOT of women.. you know Nothing about them! My Naive Mate!”
