Chapter 3

Flora's Pov

I woke up and did the same routine everyday and now I'm in the bus going to visit mom

Today I woke up much earlier because I wanted to see her

I miss her deeply

Aria is sleeping peacefully on my chest , honestly she is the best sister anyone can have

She is not that naughty although sometimes she is

She has an amazing appetite and not much of a cry baby

Then my mind drifted to dad , he was my motivator

My first love

He gave mum and i everything we needed...

He never for once raised his voice at me

He always talked politely and honestly I never wanted anything else but him

His death was a shock to us all but we accept what we get from life

Then all of a sudden Mr Nicholeson's face appeared on my mind

Why am I thinking about him now

I won't deny he's hot but he doesn't even notice me

But why would he , I'm just a maid

Floraaa

I shouldn't even be thinking him

But why do I care if he notices me ?

"Ma'am" someone pulled me out of my thoughts and I looked up to see the bus driver

"We are here "

"ohhh" I paid him and went outside the hospital

I went into mom's room to meet her staring in space

"mom" I whispered and she looked at me then gave me one of her best smiles

I hugged her " I missed you and aria" "I missed you more mum"

"come sit here " she said tapping her bed

"Mom I will be late for work " "Just for 5 minutes "

I sighed and sat next to her "I hope you will take care of aria even if I'm not around"

"Mom why are you talking like this ...nothing will happen to you I promise you that"

"I'm just saying...be positive and always be kind and have courage...I know this world may hurt but don't ever give up on anything...don't give up on love,life or anything and lastly live life to the fullest even if I'm not around "

"Mom you will be here don't worry" "Just promise me you will do all that I said "

"Mom"

"Promise me"

"Ok I promise" and she smiled "mom I'm going now...bye" "bye darling "

And I kissed her before going out...I am having this feeling that something will go wrong but I just hope it is nothing important

I'm now preparing breakfast for danny and Mr Nicholeson

she is up early today

She woke up even before I came and she is in the dinning table having a chitchat with her daddy in her Pj

I made beacon,Chicken,cheese sandwich for dana and milk

I made scrambled eggs and sausage with juice and of course Mr Nicholeson's coffee

I served them and they were eating now "Daddy pre-" she said with her mouth full of food

"Dana no talking when eating " her dad scolded her and she looked away sadly

I felt bad for her after all she is a kid but what can I do

" Why are you standing here you want some leftover "

"He said rudely "

Excuse me ??

You're the one looking like someone who has been left over

"No sir I have eaten fully at home and one more thing...don't open your mouth whiles chewing , flies everywhere you know "

I then walked off into the kitchen...I don't allow people to disrespect me and I wallow in embarrassment

What does he feel of himself?

Just because I work for him doesn't mean he can walk all over me

And guess what...I know I will lose my job in few minutes and im kind of scared about that

I don't wanna lose my job...I should have bit my tongue instead of talking

I waited for minutes but no one came and after 5 minutes a small petite figure walked into the kitchen

"Hey" dana said cutely "heyy danny"...she then went tried to climb the kitchen counter but she was not able

So I helped her "I want to apologies for what my dad did a while ago"

She is so mature than her stupid daddy "it is okay dearie " "But also thumps up"

"Why ? " I asked confused

"Because you were the first lady to talk to him in such manner and guess what he was shocked "

And I felt happy...I don't know why but I felt like I had achieved something big

Yes I have though

"Okay...what do you want for lunch"

"Mashed potato with sausage,boiled eggs,with season and mayonnaise all in it" she nearly drooled when speaking "with taco pasta for all three of us"

"I can only make for you sweetie" "why" "I don't want your father's wrath"

"No you won't get it...please " she gave me her puppy eyes "no" "pleasee"

She said cutely with her best puppy eyes "ok"

I was now making lunch and- "who do we have here " I heard a lady's voice

I then turn around "Hi " she said "Hi " I said awkwardly "I'm carin the cleaner"

Ohhh

"Hi I'm Flora..the new cook and babysitter for dana"

"ohhh you're truly beautiful "

"Thank you..im now making lunch when I'm done I will let you know "

she gave me a curt nod before going out

I have finished preparing lunch and we're now eating " mmmm. ..you know how to cook so much...it's so tasty"

"Thank you" "Flo you really know how to cook"

"Thank you my darling "

My little sister was busy eating without looking at everybody's face

We all looked at each other before laughing then she looked up at us and laughed also showing us her toothless gum

After a while I cleared up the dishes and carin helped me washing them

And now we are all sitting and laughing in the kitchen...carin is a lovable person

She is very outspoken,funny,friendly person she said something funny and I was laughing loudly in the kitchen

Then all of a sudden I heard nothing but silence and I stopped then opened my eyes to meet a furious looking Mr Nicholeson

Then the tension in the air grew up that it would be cut with a knife

"Good Afternoon sir"

"Meet me in my home office now " he said rudely

what did I do now

He is always moody I then followed him quickly into his home office

"Sir you called for-" "what did I tell you ?" He said furiously

"SirI don't understand "

"What did I fucking tell you about allowing people near my daughter "

"Sir no one got near your daughter except me and carin " and then it clicked

"Carin...didn't I tell you that you are the only one allowed near my daughter "

"He yelled and i flinched "I'm sor-ry sir" I said and looked down "I don't care if you give her food or what but don't you ever fucking allow her near my daughter you get that"

"Yes s-ir" I said with shaky voice and tears brimming in my eyes "Get out"

And I quickly went out

I leaned on the door and sobbed for a little while before going back downstairs

By the time i got downstairs carin was no where to be seen and Dana and aria were in the living room playing

He is fucking arrogant

he yelled at me and he made me cry

I'm only doing this for mum and aria

God please give me strength to endure

So I then proceeded in making dinner for Mr Grumpy and Dana

I am now done making dinner and I served them dinner...they were eating awkwardly

I then took aria to leave

"Goodnight danny" I said to her

"Goodnight i will miss you flo"

"I will miss you more" I said genuinely

And I looked at Mr Nicholeson and he was busy eating more like playing with his food

How rude...doesn't he feel sorry or bad for what he did ?

But it's whatever

"Good night sir " I said curtly

"Goodnight " and I left

I'm so tired right now I hope mom understands

I went home....I made beef pasta for both of us...we ate fully and I bath aria and I showered

As I wanted to go to sleep..I heard a knock...who could it be at this time of the night

I then opened the door to meet my scary landlord with scars and piercings

"Hello sweety" I Cringed when he called me sweety...gross

"Flora actually " I said correcting him

"I'm here to tell you that either you pay your house rent before Sunday or you get the hell out"

This hell hole you call a house but I didn't say that

"But you have an alternative , let's have some fun tonight " he says winking

Ewww

"I prefer being single all my life than sleep with you "and I shut the door on his face

I then sighed before going off to bed....

I hope my salary Friday will be able to pay all these but first of mom's operation fee and hospital bills is my top priority

I have so many bills , I have aria to take care off , I have taxes to pay

It's honestly a lot

I hope it'll all be alright

Today has really been a long day and I hope my next days will not be this bad

I really hope

And before I knew it , I slept off .
