Chapter 8
My Husband Is A Secret Billionaire By Wiuu
Chapter 8
Janeâs smile suddenly froze. She was a bit
upset.
Kate was right. Marriage was a lifetime thing. Jane got married without thinking, and she hadnât even
had a proper relationship with him. Wasnât she betting her happiness on it?
Howeverâ¦.
Jane pursed her lips and said into the phone with a chuckle, âHow come? In fact, I have to thank Dan.
If he hadnât married me, I wouldnât have been able to get a 50,000-dollar dowry!â
As long as her mother recovered and her siblings could study hard and live a peaceful life, she would
be happy.
âWell, I need to hang up now!â Jane was in a hurry to get off the phone. âI came back to get the money
today. Iâll tell you the good news when I
get it!
Jane carefully put her phone in her backpack and soon arrived at the busiest commercial street in
Cardiff. She stood on the street and looked at the bustling traffic. Suddenly, she felt as if a lifetime had
passed.
âHey, my sister is back!â Fionaâs sharp voice was filled with ridicule as she walked down the stairs and
sized her up arrogantly.
She wondered how life had been for Jane these days.
She couldnât help but be secretly delighted at the thought that Jane married a poor man with nothing. a
well-known hooligan.
Since she was a child, she seemed to be inferior to Jane in everything.
Even though Jane would wear her old clothes, some people still praised her for being beautiful.
Jane was gentle, and everyone liked to be close to her.
Even her grades in school were far better than Fionaâs.
Fiona had regarded her as a thorn in her side since she was a child. Even though Jane had never
intended to harm her, Fiona had seized every opportunity to embarrass her.
Fiona had gotten rid of a big problem this time, but she still didnât feel satisfied. She wanted to see Jane
in an even more miserable and sadder state.
âJane, how does it feel to get married?â Fiona pretended to hold her hand enthusiastically, and there
was a hint of scheming in her smile. âI heard that the marriages in previous generations were arranged
by the parents, and they had never seen each other before they got married⦠Ha, your marriage is
quite retro!â
Jane let out a dry laugh and gently withdrew her hand.
She didnât have a good impression of this family. She just wanted to take the money and leave ast soon
as possible. From then on, she would have nothing to do with the Fallon family.
âItâs said that my brother in law has been to jail several times because of fighting in the past, yeah?â
Fionaâs gaze was filled with contempt as she hid a smile on the corners of her month. Then what is he
doing now? Does he have a job? How can he support you if he doesnât?
âIf he really canât find a job, I can help him! Oh, Iâll introduce him to some good jobs, such as moving
bricks at construction sites and carrying goods at the docks. Itâs very suitable for him, isnât it? Why

donât we let him come to the company? There happens to be a security guard who needs to replace his
dog!â
Jane suddenly looked up at her.
Fionaâs heart tightened. In her impression, Jane was always obedient and didnât fight back. But today,
there seemed to be something different in her eyes.
Jane took a deep breath, stared at Fiona, and said clearly, âAlthough my husband has some
shortcomings, it doesnât affect his ability to earn money and support a family. Let alone that he can
support the family, even if he really wanted to find a job, he wouldnât ask you for it. The good job that
you mentioned should be saved for my future brother-in-law!â
âYouâ¦â
Fionaâs expression changed. âJane, who do you think youâre talking to?â
âWhatâs wrong?â Jane said lightly, âCarrying bricks at a construction site, carrying goods at the docks,
and being a dog for the security guards⦠Donât you think these are all good jobs? Are you sure youâre
helping us? Then Iâll do you a favor by leaving this job for your future husband, my dear sister.â
Fiona was furious. She had never seen Jane so eloquent before.
âHa, only you would protect that kind of man like a treasure!â
Fiona rolled her eyes at her, curled her lips, and walked upstairs while twisting her waist. As she
walked, she snorted and said, âDonât think that I donât know what youâre here for today⦠But Dad isnât
home, so you came here for nothing!
âWhat did you say?â
Janeâs heart ski pped a beat, and she immediately got a bad feeling.
