EP17 - So Called Father
The Doctor's Therapist | AbhiRa Fanfiction
Abhimanyu was going through some patient files, when Akshara barged inside his cabin, throwing open his door with a loud thud. Abhimanyu jumped a little because of the sudden loud noise.
"Hi, babyyyyy....." Akshara yelled making him roll his eyes.
It's been a few weeks of them dating and she still shows this wild side of her every day. He has gotten used to her wilderness, though secretly it's the thing he loves the most about her.
"Hello to you too, Miss Wildcat! For what I own this pleasure of you barging inside my cabin like a storm?" Abhimanyu asked, keeping aside his files, and looking up at her.
"Guess what, guess what?" Akshara grinned widely, shaking in excitement, making him smile at her cuteness.
"What?" He asked mysteriously.
"WE ARE GRANDPARENTS NOW!!!" Akshara yelled, making Abhimanyu slip down from his chair in shock.
"The fuck?!!!!" he asked shocked, standing up, while she nodded excitedly.
"Akshu, sweetie, baby, you do know that for us to become grandparents, we have to become parents first? And for that we have to, you know, complete baby production's biological process...which we haven't had a chance to yet...." He drawled, making her hit him on his arm.
"No idiot! Whitey, the street dog outside the hospital just gave birth! And obviously, we are kind of her godparents, so we are now grandparents!" Akshu jumped in excitement and he just chuckles and hug her.
"Oh, God! What will I do with you, baby?" Abhimanyu sighed and she smiles.
"This one is an antique piece, Dr. Birla, you have to bear with it for the rest of your life."
"With pleasure, your highness"

Akshara was sniffling while Abhimanyu rolled his eyes and handed her another tissue.
"Baby, stop crying. It's just a movie!" he said exasperated.
"JUST A MOVIE? ABHIMANYU, DID YOU NOT SEE AYESHA DYING? How could you be so heartless?" Akshara cried making him laugh.
"Akshu, stop crying over Ek Villain."
"YOU HEARTLESS MONSTER!"
Akshara glared at him and pointed her finger at him, and he hooked her finger pulling her closer. She pouted her lips, and he couldn't resist her charm and pecked, making her smile unknowingly.
"You can't appease just with that, Mr. Birla" she tried to hide her smile.
Abhimanyu smirked and pecked her lips once, twice and keep pecking her lips till she laughed and hugged him, kissing him passionately.
He picked her up making her squeal and head towards the kitchen.
"Where are we going, Abhi?"
"To get my baby some food in her growling tummy!"

Neil was munching his chips loudly making Abhimanyu annoyed. He picked up the cushion from the sofa and threw it at Neil, making him drop his packet of chips.
"Bhai! My CHIPS!!"
"Your chips deserve that!"
"BHAI!"
Manjiri rolled her eyes at the two grown-up children bickering. Who would think these two are doctors?
"Stop it, children. And help me with these peas."
"NO!!!" Both of them shouted together.
"Shut up and help!" Manjiri was adamant and they both groaned. Who liked peeling the peas anyways?
They both sat beside her and helped her with her chores, when a voice Abhimanyu hated with all his heart, was heard.
"Wow! Both my sons, Dr. Abhimanyu Birla and Dr. Neil Birla are reduced to doing menial household chores. What will be my reputation in front of the world when the word gets out? Don't make my children useless like you, Manjiri"
Harshwardhan Birla stood at the entrance of the house, wearing his crisp business suit and a laptop bag in his hand.
Manjiri's heart stopped hearing this, and immediately stood up, her hands shaking, fidgeting with her saree.
"You are here, I'll bring water" Manjiri was about to go when Abhimanyu stopped her.
Her eyes looked up at him, pleading with him not to create a scene, while his eyes turned red. He held her hand tightly and looked up at his so-called father.
"Helping a mother with household chores is not useless, Mr. Birla. But how will you know? You only know how to flatter other rich people so that your reputation is maintained. But you know what, I find your actions utterly useless and a waste of time." Abhimanyu growled, making Harsh grit his teeth.
"Abhi! Shut up and go to your room" Abhimanyu was about to disagree when Manjiri glared at him.
He turned around and strode towards his room, not before glaring at his father. When he came to his room, he strode forward to hit the punching bag with his bare hands, when his call interrupted his actions.
He picked up his phone, not looking at the number and yelled.
"WHAT?"
"Baby?" Akshara spoke softly, making his eyes go wide and he glanced at his screen. It was showing 'My Wildcatâ¤ï¸'.
"Akshu? Sorry, I didn't see your name. What happened?" His tone became better.
"Nothing happened to me, I just had an instinct of calling you and sounds like it was the right instinct. What is it, baby?" she asked.
"Nothing I..." Abhi didn't want to burden Akshu with his problems when he heard, her voice, her music. She was singing his favourite song.
Abhimanyu lay on the bed, just listening to her voice, lulling him to sleep. Akshu held her phone tightly, trying to control her tears. Her Abhimanyu was in pain, and she was the one who felt his pain. But she had to be strong, for her love.
