Chapter 194
TIMOTHY POV

Timothy's heart raced as he sat in the sterile waiting room of the paternity testing center, flanked by Andy on one side and Stella
on the other. He could hardly believe that it had come to thisâhaving a paternity test to determine if he was the father of Stellaâs
child. The tension in the room was suffocating, and the air was thick
with tension.
Stella leaned closer to him, her voice low and soothing, as she tried to reassure him. âTimothy, you have to believe me. The baby
is yours. Thereâs no doubt about it.â
Timothy turned to look at her, his eyes narrowing. âStella,â he said, his voice stern, âyou've been dishonest from the beginning.
You had an affair with my brother, for Godâs sake!â
Stellaâs gaze didnât waver, and she gripped his wrist with an unsettling amount of strength. âI made a mistake, Timothy, but I
swear to you that the baby is yours. I love you, and I wouldnât lie about something like this.â
Andy, who had been silent until now, cleared his throat and took her hand. He leaned forward, his voice rising with intensity.
âTimothy, letâs be honest here. You never even cared for Stella. You were just using her to get back
at me.â
Timothy shot Andy a furious glare. âWhat the hell are you on, Andy? You should have known better than anyone that I donât want
to be with her. If you wanted her, you shouldâve taken her, regardless of what Dad said.â
Stella interjected, her voice steady and confident. âThereâs nothing between me and Andy, Timothy. Heâs just trying to mess with
your head. Seems like that little media stunt of his wasnât satisfying enough.â
Andy scoffed, his face contorted with rage. âIs that what you said last night, Stella? When you came running to me after our
fight?â
The accusation hung heavily in the air, and Timothyâs heart sank: He couldnât believe what he was hearing. Stella had always
claimed that ther
was nothing between her and his brother, but the truth seemed to be uncovering itself further and further.
Timothy turned to Stella, his anger and disappointment boiling over. âIs that true, Stella? Did you go to Andy last night?â

Stella avoided eye contact, her silence speaking volumes. Timothyâs frustration mounted, and he couldn't hold back the torrent of
emotions that had been building for so long.
âAnd all that time you were telling me to be âloyal, to stay away from Evie,â he said, his voice trembling with anger. âI suppose
your own rules donât apply to you, do they?â
Stella finally met his gaze, her own eyes brimming with tears. âThat was before I met you, Timothy. I made at terrible mistake, but
I need this to work between us. The baby is yours.â
âWe'll see about that,â Timothy retorted, snatching his hand away from her grip.
As they sat there, the minutes dragged on, each second feeling like an eternity. Finally, a nurse emerged from a back room,
holding an envelope in her hand.
Timothy stood, his heart pounding, and made his way toward her. The others followed, their anxious faces reflecting the gravity
of the moment.
âHere you are.â The nurse handed Timothy the envelope, her expression neutral. âThe results are inside,â she said. âI hope they
bring you all the clarity youâre seeking.â
Timothy nodded and, with trembling hands, tore open the envelope. He pulled out the piece of paper inside and
began to read the words and numbers that covered the page.
Numbness washed over Timothy, and he felt like he was no longer in his own body. The words, though expected, carried a heavy
weight of finality. He had harbored doubts for so long, but now the truth had been confirmed,
and it was a truth he couldn't deny.
The seconds ticked by, and the room fell into an eerie silence as Timothy absorbed it all. His face paled, and he couldn't hold
back the laugh that slipped from his lips. The revelation made him strangely satisfied.
Stella and Andy leaned in, desperate to know the results. Timothy's voice quivered as he spoke. âItâs not mine,â he said, his
words barely a whisper. âThe baby is not mine.â
Stellaâs eyes filled with tears, and she reached out to him, her voice quivering with desperation. âTimothy, itâs a mistake. The test
must be wrong. You have to believe me.â
But Timothy had heard enough. He turned away, his heart feeling eerily light in his chest. âI guess these were the real results all
along. Figures.â

âTim...â Stella placed a hand on his shoulder and he jerked away.

âYou know, I expected nothing less,â Timothy continued, leering at her. âIâm not doing this with you anymore, Stella. Consider this
engagement over.
Andy stepped forward, his tone softening as he embraced Stella from behind. âI'll make sure the child has a loving home and
family,â he declared. âYou won't be a part of our lives.â
Stella was on the verge of tears, her voice filled with despair. âTimothy, please, you have to believe me. I love you. I donât want to
lose you.â
But Andy shook his head, his anger undiminished. âStella, are you listening to me? Iâm here for you!â
Timothy's patience had been tested to its limits, and he could feel his head spinning. He couldnât help but feel a simmering anger
toward both Andy and Stella. He had been thrust into a situation he never asked for, a situation that had now led them to the
most significant revelation of all.
âYou're both unbelievable,â Timothy muttered, shaking his head in disbelief. âYou deserve each other. Two lying, scheming
bastards.â
Stella, tears glistening in her eyes, reached out to him, her voice quaking with desperation. âTimothy, please, you have to
understand-â
But Timothy didnât wait for her to finish. He turned and walked away, his footsteps heavy as he rushed to the exit. Stellaâs pleas
faded into the background as he left the testing center, cut off as the doors shut behind him.
Timothy made his way to his car, his steps heavy and purposeful. He got in and sat in silence for a while, the weight of the
moment settling in. But then, something unexpected happened. A bitter laugh escaped his lips, and it quickly turned into
hysterical laughter. The absurdity of the situation had become too much to bear.
He laughed until tears streamed down his face, his shoulders shaking with the sheer madness of it all. He wondered how he had
allowed himself to be ensnared in their mess for so long. The anger and frustration that had simmered within him had erupted
into wild laughter, leaving him feeling unhinged.
As he regained his composure, Timothy sat and stared at the clock on his dashboard. The funeral was in two hours, and he be
forced to face his family again. Undoubtedly, news has already spread about the affair.
He started the car and began to drive, the events of the past few months replaying in his mind. The truth had been revealed, and
he was left to grapple with the fallout. He didnât know where he was headed, but he was
