Previously in our story, Alixandria faced a heart-wrenching decision: accepting her supernatural connection with Idris and ending her long time relationship with Henry. Heartbroken but determined, she confronted Henry after catching him with another woman. However, the confrontation took an unexpected turn when Henry revealed a shocking truth – he knew what Idris was and believed he was compelled to try and cheat on her.

Intrigued and confused, Alixandria listened as Henry unfolded a tale involving a mysterious woman named Amber, who claimed to be his mate. Attempting to convince Henry that Amber was his true mate, Alixandria found herself in the midst of his unraveling sanity. Idris stormed in just in time to prevent Henry from harming Alixandria but Henry was determined to convince her that Idris had been fooling her by secretly feeding her his blood and compelling her to forget.

Amidst the revelation, Henry's condition took a frightening turn, and as Alixandria attempted to help him, he sliced her palm in order to prove he was telling the truth. Alixandria's wound instantly healed and she knew Henry was indeed telling the truth, however, she had no time to question it as Henry began to lose control of himself, spiraling into animalistic growls and howls of pain.

Idris acted quickly before she could get hurt and took her into his arms, taking her away from Henry, leaving Amber to come to Henry's rescue.

As the story unfolded, Henry's transformation escalated until he realized he had become a monstrous creature. He refused Amber's help and was shocked to find she had purposefully triggered his werewolf genes. Henry denied her as his mate and claimed he would rather die than be with her.
