CH 164
The Return of The Lord God
With Rubbish having almost adapted to his new body, Graverson decided that the group should return to the garbage planet. He counted the number of people by head count and noticed that two were missing.
âWhere are Bai Lixin and Ghar? Where did they go? â Graverson asked, almost blowing off his beard.
Waste O^O: âMaster, I donât know.â
Graverson: ââ¦â¦ Put away the cute expression.â
Rubbish ^w^: âYes, Master.â
Graverson: ââ¦â
âAhem,â Graverson coughed, deciding that out of sight was out of mind. âYou guys carry all the supplies to the ship for now. You, go fuel up the ship. If these two donât make it back before dawn, you donât have to wait for them. â
âYou were not going to wait for us!â A clear, piercing voice came from a distance as two people slowly walked over. The two were carrying several large boxes in their hands effortlessly.
âWhere did you go? What have you got there? â Graverson asked as he watched the two men approach. His eyes widened when he saw what Ghar was carrying, âA mini-cannon?!â
Ghar placed the mini-cannon in front of Rubbish and said, âItâs your energy unit in there. I wanted to take it out and return it to you, but I thought this would be more suitable. Do you want it?â
Rubbish blinked and looked at Graverson. âDo I want it, Master?â
âYes, yes, yes!!! Of course you want it! Itâs a cannon of immense power! â Graverson was about to jump up and down, afraid that Rubbish would say âno.â
Rubbish nodded a few times, âYes, thank you, Ghar. Iâll take it then.â
âYouâre welcome.â
Ghar dropped the cannon, but he was still carrying several stacked boxes over his shoulder. Graverson had exchanged arms with people before and was no stranger to the look of the boxes. He asked suspiciously, âYou bought arms?â
Bai Lixin laughed and shtoook his head, âSomeone gifted them us.â
âA gift?â Graverson clearly didnât believe Bai Lixin, âWho would be so kind as to give you this?â
âAn arms dealer, and in return, Ghar has sent their address location to the Interstellar Police.â
Graverson: ââ¦â¦â
With that, Bai Lixin and Ghar carried the boxes to the ship on their own.
Graverson looked at the mini-cannon and happily carried it onto the ship as well.
While Ghar was making Rubbishâs body, Graverson didnât stay idle. He cleaned up the spaceship where he should, and since he couldnât move his hands, he yelled at his minions to fix the malfunctioning steering wheel sensors, flight systems, and other areas.
With the money left over, he purchased more supplies such as medicine, water, and food, remaining with about 300 star coins only.
Bai Lixin bought the pile of materials for Rubbishâs body and was left with about 3000 star coins. The aircraft was large, so they had enough space to load the supplies within its weight capacity and returned home with a full load.
There was no home-grown food on the garbage planet, so if it werenât for Graversonâs supplies every few days, the people of Garbage Star would be starving to death.
The group did not linger any longer and made their way back to Garbage Star.
Everyone was stunned when they stepped onto the golden sands of Garbage Planet.
The place was in shambles, the crude houses had collapsed, and the front of the crumbling clinic was filled with dying people.
Graverson threw down the supplies in his hands and rushed over to them as he yelled, âWhatâs going on?â
A man who wasnât too badly injured replied, âCosmic pirates were passing through.â
âHoly shit, those trash! What can they rob from a garbage planet? â Graverson thundered, âHow many of them are here?â What have they taken? Where did they go? I wonât spare them, damn it! â
âThere were seven of them, each with a laser gun. They came and took not only our supplies but also the young women. â A pale old woman stood up from the crowd and pointed in one direction, crying out, âTheyâre fucking bastards! They took my food and they took my granddaughter! They went in that direction! â
Graverson glared back at his mem on the ship, âWhat are you waiting for? Get the fucking drugs out. There are very few labourers on this shit planet. Whoâs going to mine for me if they die? Theyâre tired of living if they dared to rob me, those sons of bitches! You guys, go and get the laser guns we exchanged last time. Iâll chop these bastards up. â
The five minions raced down to the ship to unload all the supplies and medicine, while others raced back to Graversonâs house and brought a crate of weapons.
After settling the injured, Graverson stepped back onto the ship in fury.
Inside the ship, there was silence.
One of his men cautiously asked, âBoss, how are we going to find them?â
âDidnât that old woman give us their direction? Letâs look in that direction. I donât believe we can fail to find those damned pirates. None of the women should die; theyâre all our labour! â
The minions looked at each other, wanting to say something but stopping themselves.
Since the boss said so, they just had to follow orders.
Bai Lixin suddenly smiled as he looked at this scene.
After knowing Graverson, he didnât feel that Graverson was as vicious as described in the worldâs memories.
He looked rough and his mouth was sharp, but his heart was like tofu.
âGhar, can you connect to the aircrafts in this part of the galaxy? Search their flight paths and see which one has been here in the last two days. â
Ghar nodded, âYes, Master. I will begin screening for eligible craft.â
Half a minute passed and Gharâs eyes projected a translucent pale blue screen in the air, âI have found it, Master. This aircraft is on Alpha planet. It is 70 light years from the garbage star, and we can reach there in about two days. â
A relatively new aircraft was shown in the blue screen. They had parked it and they had tied five women together while they themselves were gathered around a campfire, drinking wine and eating meat, looking very much at ease.
At the sight of such a scene, Graverson stomped his feet in anger.
Bai Lixin patted him on the shoulder and said, âDonât worry, I think these guys plan to sell these women.â As long as we get there in time, nothing will happen to them.â
âCome on, Ghar, letâs go to Alpha.â Bai Lixin soothed Graverson and sat next to him.
A word woke up the dreamer, and Graverson was sort of concerned. Thatâs right. If these men had been after the women early on, why wait until now to make a move? Although they were tied up, they didnât seem to have suffered any physical pain.
Graverson breathed a sigh of relief and sat back in his chair.
It was then that he saw what Bai Lixin was playing with in his hand and let out a surprised cry, âA lightsabre?â
Bai Lixin raised an eyebrow and grinned, âOh, Boss Graverson is quite perceptive. You recognized it at a glance.â
âOf course!â Graverson puffed out his chest, âDonât you know who I am?â
âSo tell me, is this light sabre of mine good or bad?â
âChe,â Graverson rolled his eyes, âisnât it just a lightsaber? I have one too. I traded kinetic energy for a lightsaber plus twenty laserguns back on the Black Star. â
Lest Bai Lixin didnât believe him, Graverson yelled to the man behind him, âBring me the lightsaber and let the brat have a look.â
The man nimbly pulled out a hilt from the bottom of the case and brought it to Graverson with both hands, âHere you go, boss.â
Graverson took the ornate golden hilt in one hand and showed it off in front of Bai Lixin, âSee, this is my lightsabre.â
Bai Lixin took the hilt, weighed it in his hand, and suddenly smiled, âWhere did you get this lightsabre? Was it in a room like a block of iron in Blackstar? â
âHuh, how did you know that?â Graverson tried to reach for Bai Lixinâs lightsaber, but Bai Lixin dodged and did not give it to him. He pushed the ornate golden hilt back to Graverson and said, âThis âlightsaberâ of yours is a fake, itâs just an ordinary hilt. Even if you try for many more years, there will be no light born out of it. â
âThat man I know is an arms manufacturer. The so-called lightsabre was meant to fool you people. We got Rubbishâs kinetic energy back from him.â
âYours is a fake too?â Graverson looked down at the ornate hilt and then at the unimpressive hilt Bai Lixin was holding, somewhat unable to accept it, âYours is a fake too?â
Bai Lixin smiled, âAbout as real as it gets.â
âArgh, what about those laser guns?â Graverson was enraged.
Ghar set the aircraft on auto-flight, then walked down from the pilot seat to Graversonâs batch of laser guns. He picked each one up and looked at them, finally shaking his head, âAll inferior, rubbish that will break after one use.â
Rubbish ^â½ ^: âAre you talking about me? Did I malfunction somewhere again? â
Crowd: ââ¦â¦â
Wouldnât it be nice to be a quiet robot? Nobodyâs asking you to talk, thanks!
Seeing the depressed look on Graversonâs face, Bai Lixin gave Graverson an atmospheric pat on the back so that he wouldnât become suspicious of the whole Black Star, âBut donât worry, even though he lied to you, the laser guns and other stuff I took from him are enough to pay off what you gave him earlier.â
Graversonâs heart fluttered. âYou meanâ¦.. are saying that those laser guns areâ¦.â
Bai Lixin nodded heavily, âYes! They are for you! But you have to remember to pay me for the stamina, I carried them all the way here for you, didnât I?!â
âHow much do you want?â
âI donât want money. When we take care of those cosmic pirates later, their men will be yours, but the ship is mine.â
