Chapter 11: Kiss

What is she doing here? We keep gazing at each other. I blink. She starts studying my body with wild eyes. After she ceases, she retains her eyes on my legs and I see her Adam's apple swallowed.

"Uhm" She says getting off the bed, "Anong ginagawa mo dito? Do you need anything?"

And then it kicks me. I'm in my apartment, I should have gone to Mila's apartment. I completely forgot about it, it's a habit, I just came directly to my room which is now Maxine's room. I'm the misplaced one, not her.

"Sorry, Maxine matulog kana ulit." I turn to leave the bedroom, pausing when I hear her saying, "No, wait! I'm awake now anyway." She said scrunching the back of her head, stretching her muscles.

People claim you can see someone's soul through their eyes, well, she has a remarkably complex soul. I keep contemplating her, biting my bottom lip, not daring to move.
