Chapter 2: Door

M

y room is simple. One queen-size bed, two nightstands on each side of it, and a small wardrobe facing the bed. Everything is plain and white and it doesn't look like her style at all.

Her room is the exact opposite, too many colors if you might ask me. Her chest of drawers is dark blue, her walls are salmon, and she wanted to paint her wardrobe in red, yeah in RED! like be?? Why red??

I had to put some sense in her head to stop her from doing it. And once I thought she was convinced, she bought a bedspread in red, because it's just how she is.

I organized what I brought from my place before taking a shower, realizing I've completely forgotten to take a towel for me.

I yelled Mila's name, while naked and freezing inside the bathroom box.

"Numeron te?" She arrives breathless.

"Nakalimutan kong kumuha ng towel, Pwede pahiram muna??" I asked while I was rubbing my hands on my arms to warm myself.

"God, tinakot mo pa ko yan lang pala! Sure, Teka lang babalik ako."

I shiver while waiting for her, wrapping the towel around me as soon as she gives it to me. Pinapatuyo ko na ang sarili ko nung nagsalita siya bigla, she leaned against the door frame.

"So, I assume Maxi is exactly your type?"

"You can't deny the girl is hot!"

"Baliw d ako bading!"

I knew Maxine is not the kind of girl/guy Mila usually goes for. She, in fact, likes eccentric girls/boys. oo bisexual si mila

Usually, they are older, with beards, and long haired. She appreciates men with a natural appearance. she doesn't care about it at all, if his beard is uneven, if he has earned some weight or if he has wild hair. Even in this department, we're completely different.

It's Sunday, and I prefer going to bed early to begin well the week.

That doesn't stop me from groaning and being irritated when my alarm wakes me up at eight in the morning. I swear it still looks like six.

After I do my hygiene routine I leave for college. My classes start at 9 a.m. and we live ten pleasant minutes walking from campus.

Entering my classroom I take one seat in the front to see and hear everything perfectly during class. Call me a nerd if you want.

I never enjoyed sitting on the backside, where people talk and joke during classes. I'm sure they have a lot more fun than me, yet with my restless mind is already hard enough to concentrate on being in the front. I would go crazy if I sat back there.

By the end of the day, while placing my books in my backpack I watch my classmates interacting. I'm aware they usually go out together after classes. I've gone out with them on rare occasions. Since my class is 70% male population Jeremy was not a fan of me going out with them. So lately, they don't invite me anymore..

I come back home and surprisingly find Mila sitting on the hall floor. She's outside our apartment, busy tipping on her phone.

"AY QUINN!! Salamat andito ka!! naiwan ko keys ko sa locker e"

I smile back at her swaying my head at her lack of attention while opening my bag to take my keys.

I was searching for them deeper in my bag when I remembered that I left the keys in my keychain, among the keys to my apartment.

"Shit! iniwan ko ung susi ko kay Maxine" I yelled and dropped my bag on the floor.

I gathered my things scattered on the floor and sat down beside Mila, I called col.

"I'm still at work. Anyare ba?"

"Mila forgot her keys at college, and I left mine with Maxine ate e. Do you know if he will be home sooner than you?"

"No, that woman is workaholic. He works until late. I'll leave soon, ok?"

"It's not our lucky day, lucky. Kailangan nating hintayin si ate" I inform mila after hanging up and glancing around the super white hall.

"And the hot girl?"

"She works till late daw sabi ni cols" I sigh.

"just hope col will cook dinner for us" I complete, leaning against the wall, expecting to at least have a benefit from the situation. I hate cooking. Hindi ko nga alam kung pano, ang kaya ko lang lutuin is hotdog and egg, lagi pang sunog....

"I bet the hot girl can give you something to eat alright! hehe" She says with mischievous grin.

"ANO BA MILA!!" I almost scream.

"Well, it's true though. I bet she's good in bed, I have a good eye for it." She tells me, holding a grin and winking at me.

"No thanks. I think I'm better on my own."

she's hot, very hot. But the way he spoke about the girls he sleeps with, kind of killed the mood for me, and I'M STRAIGHT hinding hindi ako papatol sa tulad nya!!

"Speaking on your own. Have you used my Christmas gift?" She asks, turning my way and raising her left eyebrow.

Oh, her last Christmas gift was a freaking 7-inch vib_a_t_r

"Hmmm" is all I could reply to, while blushing with the memory.

"Hindi mo naman ginamit diba? DIBA????? I knew it!" She adjusts herself, now completely facing me before continuing. "You know an important part of sex is knowing how to please yourself. You need to be open yk? There's no shame in using a vibrator. And it makes u feel goooood HAHAHAHA"

"I know, I'm not ashamed. It's-", I sigh frustrated, "when I opened the package and looked at it, I didn't know what to do. It was just-"

I halted my explanation again lacking the right words, awkward and weird and could barely start explaining it.

"C'mon quinn! d naman mahirap. San mo nilagay??"

"In my room, under my bed?" It came as a question, it was an affirmation though. It's there, but I'm too insecure to use it.

I never even touch myself. How could I dare to use a vibrator?

"Ok. So, first thing when we get inside the apartment you'll take that vibrator of yours and you have until the end of the week to use it. Or sasabihin ko kay ate col na inabuse ka ng ex mo." She announced it like she was just telling me about the weather and not like she was threatening me. "Trust me bae, it'll be good for you."

My mouth drops open. "You're kidding, right? You can't tell col that. He would fucking kill Jeremy."

"Well, 'wag mo kong subukan." she can be pushy when she wants smth. especially when it's about the 'sex'.

I know she gets frustrated by my sex life or my lack of sex life. I'm frustrated too, but I don't threaten anyone.

"I can't believe you. It was a one-time thing. Dapat pala hindi ko na sinabi sayo un..."

"Dapat nga d mo na sinabi HAHAHHSHSB. Now I have it against you." She winks and continues.

"Oh! you could justhave a fling"

she restarts excited. Her eyes sparkling as she just had the best idea ever. "YK, go out with someone, without being serious, without jumping in a relationship just because you kissed him."

She grinned and I coughed. Is she serious?

"Just because I jumped in a relationship with Jeremy, you think I'll do the same again!?"

"Well yes. I can't really imagine you having just a fling, and that worries me. You should enjoy life you know? Meet people, go out, make mistakes, make out? char HAHAHAH not have everything already planned as you usually have."

"To be honest, a relationship is the last thing I want right now."

I couldn't ignore the relief and freedom I felt when Jeremy and I broke up. I realized I've been feeling suffocated by the relationship.

"Thank God! Yeah, find someone that will treat you right in life and in bed. Who shows something different than your ex had. You know, like an orgasm?"

I gasp astonished by her statement.

Before I could reply the elevator's door was opening on our floor.

"Thank God, you are finally here."

"I came as fast as I could" he replies smiling at me while opening the apartment door.

And as we enter the living room chatting, I see Maxi sprinting to the other side of the kitchen counter.

Her eyes are evilly shining, and he is grinning like a child who just gained his favorite toy.
