“I thought you would think of me as a white lotus.” She muttered and then asked, “Old Lu, why did you think there was something off with her? Did you dream of something too?”

“Dream?” Lu Ting thought that she started to indulge in fantasy again, muttering nonsense. How could she rely on dreams? He exclaimed solemnly, “I think there’s something weird with ehr food.”

Lin Yueqi wanted to say something else when Lu Ting interrupted and said, “The girl probably has ulterior motives. You have to be careful. If something happens in the future, you have to tell me. “Oh…” Lin Yueqi wasn’t tired. She was just thinking about the blurry scenes within her dream.

There were many blurry things happening in her dream. Although she had forgotten a lot of the details, whenever she woke up, she could clearly remember a certain point. Just like the previous dream. She recalled her grievances and depression.

She didn’t understand the relationship between men and women. When she was young, she was focused on studying and hadn’t had a crush on anyone before. She was quite curious. Did the dream her like Lu Ting? If she didn’t like him, why did she care about whether he trusted her or not?

Because she was viewing the dream from a god’s perspective, Lin Yueqi suddenly pitied the her in her dream.

She placed her arms over Lu Ting’s shoulders and sighed. “Lu Ting, sometimes I think that life is really difficult. There used to be a person that cared about your trust but you didn’t believe her at all. I don’t care whether you trust me or not but you easily believed my words. This feels like satire.”

Lu Ting thought that the former person she was talking about was an insignificant person. He furrowed his brows and exclaimed seriously, “I have principles. I won’t easily trust a person. I believe in my eyes as well as the evidence I have.”

“But have you thought of this? Evidence can be deceiving. Have you watched palace dramas? Men are all players and they’re unable to distinguish a b****.” Lin Yueqi paused before sighing. “Nevermind. Standing from a bystander’s perspective, she also contributed to the problem. It’s not just your fault. After all, you’re just an ordinary person. Why would you believe that there’s actually a deity in the world bullying humans?”

“…” Lu Ting had no idea what she was talking about. He thought that she was trying to brainwash him again with concepts like “golden finger” and “alien.”

He thought that it was unfortunate Lin Yueqi didn’t work to become a writer. It’s a waste of talent being an actress.

Returning to the campground, Lu Ting helped grab an outfit from Lin Yueqi’s luggage and placed that as well as other daily items in a bin.

They had been in the forest for the past half a month or so, so they hadn’t gotten to take a good shower. At most, they wiped themselves with warm towels. They could finally take a good and relaxed shower with warm water to wash themselves now.

After showering, Lin Yueqi changed into a black casual outfit which included long sleeves and pants. She brushed her wet hair and then kept it scattered behind her shoulders. Because she was afraid of the cold, she placed the towel over her head and then sat in front of the campground’s bonfire to warm up.

Zhou Qing and Leita were talking to each other. Lin Yueqi suddenly sat next to them with a towel over her head, scaring the two men. They almost thought she was a headless female ghost.

Looking again, they realized it was Lin Yueqi. They sighed again.

Lin Yueqie peered at them, seeing how flustered they were. She brought her hand to the bonfire and said, “Why are you guys acting like this? Haven’t you guys seen your Sister Qi’s extraordinary beauty?”

Zhou Qing coughed and asked, “Sister Qi, where’s Brother Ting?”

“Showering, what? Do you need something?” Lin Yueqi pulled the towel off her head. While drying her hair, she asked, “Are there news in the forest? Are the poachers caught?”

Zhou Qing replied, “It’s Murou. The drones captured the poachers’ location. The local government has sent people to arrest them. They found a lot of tusks in their campground as well as Murou. She’s on the helicopter back home now. Apparently, she was beaten up pretty badly. I’m not sure whether her injury is serious or not.”

Lin Yueqi didn’t care about Li Murou. She only cared about the poachers.

Li Murou entered the campground under the staff members’ escort and she entered her tent.

After the campground doctor checked over her injuries, the director, Zhou Yuhuai sighed in relief.

He glanced at the girl lying in bed and felt his heart aching for her. Thankfully, she didn’t suffer huge injuries nor did she have any bone fractures. It was just some minor injuries.
