Chapter 22

Wrong Impression, miss (GxG) (TeacherXstudent)

¿¡Por qué ella siquiera aceptaría!? ¿Por qué Adeline siquiera preguntaría? Son... ¡Ni siquiera son amigas! ¡Me estoy volviendo loca, me estoy volviendo loca!" (Why would she even accept!? Why would Adeline even ask? They're... They're not even friends! I'm freaking out, I'm freaking the fuck out!)

Ugh, but Adeline told dad she should come over since they're still 'friends.'

"Okay, pookie, calm down. Can we please switch to English, because that sounds aggressive."

"What?" I stop, staring down at my phone as I realized and sighed loudly, "I'm so anxious I started speaking Spanish." I stated out loud like I'm crazy.

"I'm sorry I'm not there to help, I don't think I can ever return since the day Adeline walked in on us. But hey, I'm sure it'll all end well." Iris grinned, "Just make sure to hide all your childhood photo's before she arrives."

My eyes widen and I throw my phone down, putting it on speaker and hopping off my bed.

"Whatever, just help me choose an outfit." I said, walking to my closet.

"Ooo, want to look good for miss hot stuff huh? I can't blame you, if my hot professor came to my house, I'd definitely--"

"I swear I'll end the call right now."

"Okay, okay, sorry." She laughed, "Let's see... outfit number one?"

I quickly put together an outfit on my bed and took my phone, switching to the back cameras so that Iris could see.

"It's giving 'first day back to school'-- bland and boring. No."

Then the next outfit.

"Too much colors."

Then the next.

"What are we in, the 1960's?"

And the next.

"That's literally Doja Cat's Met Gala look. Okay, you know, what, forget it. Please, for both of our sakes, and professor's, please just show me your closet and I'll build you an outfit-- make professor never want to leave your house."

A few moments later, which was very hard showing her my closet virtually, I finally had a plan of action placed neatly on my bed.

Black high boots that stops a few inches beneath my knees, a beige mini skirt, that kind of looks like a tennis skirt, matched with a white long sleeved top that's a bit shorter than a crop top, revealing my stomach. It has the texture of a sweater.

After whining a bit more about this entire situation, Iris had to leave because Xavier picked her up and I was left with a few minutes before professor arrives.

I went to my bathroom and decided to get ready.

Stripping out of my clothes, I step into the shower and feel as the water runs down my body.

My eyes close, fantasizing about the hairstyle I should go with.

Straightening my hair maybe or have a bit of volume, with my layers visible.

Maybe just a messy bun or a hairband separating my bangs and hair.

Maybe a classic pony-tail or a vintage, beige bandana for a little something extra.

I close the water and just stood there, looking down at the tiles beneath me.

My professor's coming to my house.

My heart practically skipped a beat.

Taking a deep breath in, I shrug my tense shoulders loose and stepped out the shower.

I stared at myself for a few minutes in the mirror, my eyes locking with the hickeys against my neck. Only Zeus know why it yet hasn't faded away, it's been a while.

As I continued scanning my body, I reach out for my towel, but realized it wasn't there.

I groaned mentally, really not up for a struggle right now.

Quickly, I run out into my room again and search in my closet if I maybe have an extra clean one.

I grabbed it, relieved.

In a millisecond, I twist around as I hear footsteps creak against the wooden floor.

My heart leapt into my throat, now remembering I'm completely naked.

Panic flushed over me, my blood boiling in my face, as I tried to cover myself, but it was too late.

She saw everything.

Professor Garcia cleared her throat, her eyes bigger than ever before she spins around.

I even saw her cheeks flush a light shade of red too.

"This isn't the bathroom." She spoke quick, her voice more pitched that usual.

She walked away with nothing else to say.

I was left stunned. "Oh. my..."

My neck's been killing me for the past few minutes of sitting here at the dining table, head tilted down, eyes glued to my plate full of food.

I don't think I have looked up to anyone in these minutes we've been here, let alone talked.

Neither did professor with what she saw.

I spooked the poor woman.

We should really stop walking in on each other.

Then again, she wasn't fully naked when I walked in on her with a shirt off.

"So, how's Victoria been behaving in class?" Dad finally spoke, with his mouth full food.

Sneakily, I glanced at professor out of the corner of my eyes. She took a sip of the wine, looking at me for a split second before at my dad.

She cleared her throat placing the drink down.

My face flushes again for the fifth time today.

"Oh, well." Daniela mumbles, "She's... she's one of my top students and don't really give me any trouble, that's all I can say."

I blush for the sixth time today.

Adeline scoffed, poking the steak with her knife. "That's all you can say, huh?" She mocks.

Daniela stared at her for a while before raising her eyebrows, placing down the fork and knife.

She said lowly, "Well actually, there's a Spanish Olympiads writing competition thing, coming up in Santorini, Greece. And, the top 3 best students of all my classes gets to come-- those over 80%. Unfortunately for me, no other student has over qualification... except Victoria."

Intrigued, I finally look up, seeing my dad's expression. He looks impressed, but is more focused on the food.

Adeline, not so much.

"Are you implying...?" I asked.

Professor looks at me, and immediately I look down to my food again, stuffing my mouth with sweet potatoes.

"Exactly so, si." She said, "You're the only one that may go. That is if you want to, and if that's fine with your dad. If nobody goes, I have no reason to go either."

"When is this, exactly?" Dad asks, swallowing.

"Spring break." She said, "The 10th of March to the 15th-- only five days. We'll fly early morning at 8."

He nods, "Right, and I assume I'll need to pay for her?"

"No, the university will do that for all students flying to different countries for different the Olympiads."

Adeline rolled her eyes at me and I saw how her hand moved under the table to my dad's leg, giving it a squeeze, to grab his attention.

She leans closer to him and whispers something in my dad's ear as he just kept chewing.

Professor and I send each other I glare before in a split second looking away.

We both on the same time took the wine and downed every last sip before placing it back down.

Adeline moved away from my dad. "I'll go with. I'll pay for myself." Adeline said, giving professor a death stare.

"You're not allowed." Daniela said lowly.

"Why not?"

"University's orders."

It felt like watching two cowboys in the wild west, about to grab their guns and shoot one another.

"She needs parental supervision."

I frown. "Adeline, I'm 21."

Though, nobody heard me. "You're not her mom, are you now?" Daniela muttered, tilting her head.

Dad and I furrowed both our eyebrows at that.

Ouch?

Adeline growled, "You don't have any more authority over her than I do, Garcia."

"She's not a pet."

"It damn does sound like she's yours." Adeline folds her arms.

We all stayed silent.

That was until the screeching of a chair echoed through the room as Daniela stood up.

"Thank you for dinner." She said calmly, picking up her empty plate and wine glass, "I'll put this down then I'll be on my way."

She started walking away, clearly already memorized the place. I shake my head in disbelief, Adeline looking at me with no hint of emotions as always.

Dad, he just kept eating, minding his own business, and enjoying life.

I roll my eyes, the chair also screeching as I stand up.

Entering the kitchen, Daniela stood at the sink and washed the plate.

I came standing next to her, "You don't have to." I said softly.

"It's the least I can do." She sighed, clearly not happy.

Thank gosh she's not bringing earlier up.

Feeling the awkward tension building up, I decide to wash my plate at the other sink besides her.

"I'm sorry." I whisper, "I'm sorry for Adeline... she's..."

"I've dealt with her before, I can deal with her again."

I twist my head to her, not expecting the harsh tone. But her eyes were glued to the plate, soap coating her hands.

I look back and continue scrubbing my plate clean.

"You think my dad knows about you and her?"

"No, she would never tell anyone. Years later and she's still a coño-- can't come out. Tch."

My eyes widen, this time really not expecting that.

"Hey, quiet, my dad understand Spanish, you know?" I chuckle.

Professor tilted her head at me and I tilted mine back. Her lips curl in the tiniest of smiles.

I smile too, but wider, "I always wanted to go to Greece-- it's so beautiful."

"It is." She nods, looking down to my lips before back to the dishes.

My stomach made a weird turn.

"But... I made a deal with Iris that if one of us ever goes to Europe, we won't go without the other."

"I'm sorry, but she's not on the list of students able to go." She said, grabbing her wine glass after putting the plate to the side, "No offense, but she really can't go."

I hum, swiftly thinking about an idea. "What about if I help her, and... maybe you too?" Daniela raises her one eyebrow, curious. "If she passes with an 80, can she come with?"

"Wait, hold on." She snickers, "You want me to tutor your friend?"

"You're the professor." I shrug innocently.

Daniela scoffs, placing the glass to the side. "Victoria, she'll only work hard for an 80 now so that she can come with. When the trip is over, her marks will go back to usual."

I pass her a hand towel. "Come on, please! I'll help you, well... we'll help her... together, in your office, when you're off."

I pout as she just sighs, wiping her hands off on the towel.

"Please." I drag out, pouting, "It's our dream to explore parts of Europe together."

She hesitates. "Fine, we'll do it."

A wide smile spreads across my face. "Thank you!"

Suddenly Adeline entered with her and my dad's dirty plates. "What are we talking about?" She said sternly, walking between Daniela and I to place the dishes in the sink.

"Politics." I said way too fast.

Daniela and Adeline frowned.

"I was just leaving." She mumbled.

"Great, I'll walk you out." Adeline said, already walking to the front door.

Professor and I stood there alone before she turned to me.

"I'll see you tomorrow." Her lips curl into a smile again.

I smile, nodding.

She turned around, starting to walk away before stopping and looking over her shoulders to me.

"By the way, cute mole." She grinned cheekily.

She walked away.

I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to think about what she means before my eyes widen and I almost stumbled over.

The mole at my V-line.

Close to my...

Oh shit.
