Chapter 10: Unexpected Guests

"Ah! Sh*t!" Megan yelled, her voice echoing in the whole apartment. It made Isabella jolt up from her peaceful slumber.

"What happened?" Isabella asked running towards the kitchen where Megan was standing, holding her finger.

"It burned" Megan said and and Isabella examined it

"I was making pancakes and I put my finger accidentally in the pan"

"Great" Isabella muttered while grabbing the first aid box from the kitchen drawer and started applying ointment on Megan's burnt finger.

"Ah!Ah! Sh*t! F*cker" Megan yelled

"Shut up, Megan" Isabella yelled out loud, causing Megan to instantly shut up. Isabella tied the bandage on her finger after applying the ointment. "Go sit on the dining table, I'll clean this mess up" Isabella said, referring to the burnt pancakes.

They had a quick breakfast before Megan left for school. Isabella decided to clean the house and then pay Jessica a visit. She didn't even call her after she came back from Spain. She started cleaning her room which was done quickly because it wasn't that messy but Megan's room took a whole hour. Wonder what she does all day. After cleaning the living room and kitchen a bit, Isabella headed to take a shower. She got dressed into a black crop top and paired it with a pair of black skinny jeans. She also tied a blue button up shirt around her waist. Tying her hair in a high pony tail, she slipped on her brown flats and took her phone and bag. The voice of the doorbell broke Isabella's thoughts and she went to answer it wondering who would be there at that time.

"Hey" Ellie said

"Hey, Ellie. Come inside" Isabella said and they went into the living room.

"You didn't went to work?" Ellie asked

"Nope, Mr. Anderson gave me off today, why didn't you went to work today?' Isabella asked

"Well, I didn't feel like going and I wanted to see you anyways. Are you going somewhere?" Ellie asked

"Yeah, I was going to my Aunt's house. You could come along too" Isabella said

"Sure" Ellie replied excitedly causing Isabella to chuckle.

"Let's go" Isabella said and they headed to Ellie's car after leaving the house.

"So how was the trip?" Ellie asked once she started driving

"It was good, Spain is beautiful" Isabella sighed, dreamily.

"I know right" Ellie replied

"Hey, you have been to Spain?" Isabella asked

"Yeah, I went with my parents when I was probably 13 and that's a long time ago. I wanna go again soon." Ellie said and Isabella just nodded.

They arrived at Jessica's house in a few minutes. Jessica and Ellie instantly hit it off and became good friends. Isabella and Ellie both heard some voices- probably men's, coming from the living room of Jessica's house.

"Hey, Jess. Are you having guests over?" Isabella asked

"Oh yeah. They are Kevin's family friends, would you like to meet them?" Jessica asked

"Sure" Isabella and Ellie replied simultaneously. Jessica asked the girls to follow her into the living room to meet the guests. And they were both shocked to see the persons sitting in front of them.

They were Seth and Carson.

"Isabella" Seth was first who broke the awkward silence.

"Seth" Isabella replied, not sure what to say

"You both know each other?" Jessica asked

"Yeah, I work as his PA " Isabella said making Jessica nod her head understandingly.

"Bella, they are Kevin's family friends and Seth you would probably be wondering what is she doing here, well, she is my niece. My sister's daughter" Jessica said

Seth was shocked when Jessica introduced Isabella as her niece to him. Of course, he should have seen him a long time ago considering Kevin was their friend and Jessica was his fiancé. But no, they didn't even knew they were going to be related- not closely but still after Kevin's and Jessica's marriage. To be exact, the world is short.

"And what about Ellie, Is she your niece too, Jessica?" Surely Carson was the one who asked this question.

"Nope, she is Isabella's friend so she brought her here along. No biggie" Jessica replied "Y'all should stay till lunch. I'm making lasagna" Jessica added and every one nodded. Surely, lasagna is everyone's favorite.

"Isabella, call Megan too and ask her to come over after school" Jessica said once they got settled onto the couch in the hall. Isabella was seated beside Jessica and beside her was Ellie who kept taking glances at Carson once in a while and that man, was only smirking.

"Yeah" Isabella replied and started dialing Megan's number after receiving a 'Put it on the speaker' from Ellie so she did.

"Road kill cafe, you kill them, we grill them. Leave your order after the beep." Beeeeep.

Megan's voicemail started bursting through Isabella's phone and she quickly cut the call, causing everyone to laugh at the lines Megan used and at her New Yorker accent.

"She's one hell of a girl" Jessica said and Isabella replied while going in the kitchen after Jessica with Ellie walking beside her. Jessica started making lasagna and Isabella and Ellie decided to help her. Their trance was broken out by the ring of Isabella's phone.

"Hello" Isabella picked up her phone

"You called, Izzy?" Megan said from the other line

"Yeah, I called to tell you to come to Aunt Jess's house after your school."

"Okay, I will come" Megan replied. 'Hey, that is my food, Tyler' Isabella heard faint voice of Megan from the background before she hung the phone. Isabella shook her head and focused on helping Jessica to cook lasagna.

Isabella pulled Kevin into the living room and started bombarding him with questions.

"Why didn't you tell me that the CEO of the company where I was going to work is your family friend?"

"Chill, Bella. You didn't ask me about the whole CEO thing so I didn't bother to tell you too. And by the way, it doesn't matter, does it?" Kevin said, relaxed as being the calm person he was. Isabella nodded and he went away.

Isabella slumped down on the couch, thinking of the possibilities which could happen because she was going to see Seth more often, apart from work. This thought didn't controlled her hormones. She ran a hand through her hair when she heard the doorbell rang. She went to open the door and Megan was standing, munching on food, as always. She ate too much for a skinny person.

"Izzy, my precious Izzy" Megan said loudly, while entering the house. But when she saw Carson and Seth sitting on the couch in the hall, she instantly shut up her mouth.

"What do you want now, Meg?" Isabella asked from behind her but Megan was too busy examining the hot specimens sitting in front of her.

"Leave that for another time" Megan said

"Megan" She said while extending her hand out to Carson.

"Carson" Carson said while shaking her hand

"Ooh man, I saw you somewhere" Megan said while smirking at Seth.

"Wait, you are Izzy's boss, right?"

"I am" Seth said while smiling at Megan

"So, what are you doing here? Can't resist my sister, huh?" Megan asked, sitting down in front of Seth who was smirking at her question

Isabella nudged Megan in her arm and gave her a stern look while blushing slightly. "Come on, Meg. You wanted to tell me something, didn't you?" Isabella asked her sister and dragged her into the living room.

"What the heck was that?" Isabella asked Megan once they entered the living room

"I was just fooling around, anyways why they're here?" Megan asked Isabella and she told her the whole scene.

"What was that you wanted to tell me?" Isabella asked Megan, who shifted uncomfortably on the couch

"Uh- about that, uhm-" Megan stuttered

"Spit it out, Meg" Isabella said

"Iwantedtoaskificouldbringmyboyfriendhome" Megan said

"Come again, I didn't catch a word" Isabella said

"Ugh, I wanted to ask if I could bring my boyfriend home" Megan said, fiddling with her fingers

"Your boyfriend? " Isabella asked, raising her right brow

"Yeah, my boyfriend" Megan said

"What's his name?"

"Uh, Tyler" Megan said

"How came you never told me before?"

"It had been only two weeks since our relationship started. Please Izzy, let me bring him home, pleeeeeeeeaaase, my precious Izzy?" Megan pleaded, giving Isabella her best puppy look which she can't resist

"Okay, okay, fine. Bring him home this Sunday. I want to meet him too" Isabella said while Megan started jumping up and down like a kid who just got a bag full of candies

"You are the best, you know" Megan said

"I know I am" Isabella said while fixing her nonexistent collar and they both chuckled

"I love love love love love love love you!" Megan exclaimed and left the living room.

"These are too many loves" Isabella said to no one in particular and slumped down on the couch
