Chapter 22: Shivers and Tingles

The annoying alarm in Isabella's phone ringed and she hit the snooze button while grumbling. She got out of bed and walked into her bathroom, brushed her teeth and took a nice warm shower. She changed into her pink pencil skirt which reached till her knees and a gray sleeveless top. As it was her first day to work after a long gap so she decided to put some effort into her appearance, she pulled up her hair in a high sleek ponytail and applied mascara and eyeliner and light shade of pink lipstick. Over the weekend, she visited Jessica's house, her 1 year old daughter Angela was a little bundle of joy and happiness, she was just too cute, Isabella fell in love with her the moment she saw her.

She slipped into her black heels, grabbed her bag and phone and walked downstairs in the kitchen hoping to find some cereal or jam but didn't find any, she took a mental note to go grocery shopping. She decided to not have breakfast as she was lazy to cook pancakes which was the only option remaining. She heard the doorbell rang and went to open the door only to find her father with a bag of starbucks in his hand.

"Good Morning" He greeted

"Morning" Isabella greeted back as she led him inside the house.

"What are you doing here this early? It's only 7:00 am" Isabella asked as they sat down on the couch.

"I came to know from Jessica that it was the first day of your work, so I decided to bring you breakfast" He said

"Look, I told you I need time" Isabella started but was cut off by him

"I understand but who said we can't have breakfast together?" He said as he stood up and went towards the dining table and placed the bag on it.

"But- ugh fine!" Isabella huffed as she couldn't think of any comment and went into the kitchen to bring water. She ignored the fact that her father brought her food because she was too hungry at the moment and that bacon, gouda and egg sandwich was looking mouth watering.

After breakfast, Ashton offered to drop Isabella at her company but she refused his offer.

"The bus will arrive in five minutes, you don't have to drop me" Isabella said

"Fine, I'm leaving" Ashton said as he walked towards Isabella, pecked her forehead and left.

Her lips tugged upward in a smile as she shook her head and left the apartment after locking it. The bus aarived just in time as Isabella reached the stop. She got in the bus and left for work. She arrived in 15 minutes and grabbed Seth's coffee from the coffee shop before entering the building. As suspected, she heard whispers on entering the building, she went towards the reception and cleared her throat while smirking.

"Yes?" Ellie asked as she continued to type, not even glancing towards Isabella

"Ellie" Isabella said and Ellie's eyes snapped towards her as she pulled Isabella into a bone crashing hug.

"Oh my god, Bella. I missed you so damn much, don't ever leave again like that" Ellie said as she wiped her tears.

"I missed you too, now hush don't cry" Isabella said "I'm going to go now, it's almost 8" She continued and walked in the elevator after bidding Ellie a bye. On reaching the top floor, she walked out of the elevator and walked towards Seth's office and knocked on the door.

"Come in" came his firm voice which caused tingles to spread over Isabella's body. She opened his office door and saw that nothing was changed, everything was in its old place but she noticed that there was a tall shelf in the corner of his office. She then glanced towards Seth and saw him typing something on his laptop with his glasses on.

(Someone pass me a fan, it's getting hot in here 😍)

To say he looked good would be an understatement, he looked hot. He was wearing a dark blue shirt with his sleeves rolled up till his arms and his grey blazer was resting on the back of his chair.

"Are you gonna quit staring anytime soon, Miss Smith?" He asked causing Isabella to snap out of her gaze.

"Uh I wasn't staring" She said, clearly embarrassed

"Sure" Seth said with a hint of teasing in his voice and Isabella placed his coffee on his desk.

"What should I do now?" Isabella asked

"I want you to grab all the blue colored files from that shelf and arrange them in order in my drawer" Seth said as he pointed to the tall shelf in the corner of his office, Isabella nodded and went towards the shelf. She quickly grabbed the files but there was one on the top most part of the shelf where her hand couldn't reach. She placed the other files on the small table beside the shelf and stood on her tip toes to reach that file but it was no avail. She still couldn't reach it, she tried once again and felt her shirt ride up so she quickly patted it down and tried again. She felt someone's presence behind her and knew it was Seth because of the smell of his cologne. He raised his hand up and grabbed the file but didn't move after taking it. He slipped his hand around Isabella's waist and ran his nose on her jaw causing her to gasp and lean into his touch.

"W-what are you doing?" Isabella whispered as she felt his lips on her collarbone. He didn't answer and continued kissing her collarbone causing her to shiver. Isabella's phone's ringing caused her to snap back into reality as she lightly pushed Seth and attended the call

"Hello"

"Hey, Bella. It's Jessica"

"Oh hey Jess, you need something?" Isabella asked as she felt Seth behind her once again along with all those stupid tingles

"I wanted to ask if you could babysit Angela for the day because this friend of Kevin had an accident and we are going to meet him at the hospital and children are not allowed in that hospital" Jessica said

"Y-yeah sure, j-just call me when you'll be outside the c-company" Isabella whispered as she felt Seth's lips on her neck

"Bella, what happened? Why are you stuttering?" Jessica asked, clearly confused

"Stuttering? Me, n-no um Y-yeah, I'm feeling cold that's why my words c-came out as a stutter" Isabella lied through her gritted teeth

"Bella, you do realize that it's the month of July right?" Jessica asked clearly not buying her lie

"I-I'm sick that's why" Isabella said as she felt Seth pulling her closer

"Okay, visit the doctor and take care. I'll call you once I'll reach there, bye" Jessica said

"Bye" Isabella said and hung up the phone but moaned when she felt Seth's lips near her ear

"Why do you like to tempt me so much?" Seth asked

"W-what are you talking about?" Isabella asked shivering visibly. His touch did wonders to her body

"This" Seth started pointing to her long legs which can be seen through her ride up skirt. "makes me want to take you on this desk, now" he whispered huskily, as he leaned in closer. Isabella gasped as she quickly pulled her skirt down and slightly pushing him, she left his office. She took deep breaths once she reached her desk. Her phone beeped indicating a message which was from Jessica saying that she had arrived. She quickly called the elevator and went down.

On reaching the ground floor, she passed Ellie a smile as she went outside the building to get Angela. She went towards where Jessica was standing.

"Boo, come to la" Isabella cooed as she took Angela from Jessica's hands. Angela called Isabella la.

"How are you my baby?" Isabella cooed again as she pecked the little one's cheek. "We are going now, say bye to mommy" She continued and Angela waved her hand towards Jessica.

"There is milk, her toys and her diaper in this bag" Jessica said as she handed Isabella a pink coloured small bag. "Bye" Jessica said and went away

"Come on boo, you and la are going to meet some new people now" Isabella said as they entered the building causing Angela to squeal.

"Hey, Angel" Ellie greeted once they reached her desk. Angela squealed at the sight of Ellie and hugged her. Ellie knew her since she was born as she remained in contact with Jessica.

"Come on boo, let's go" They went in the elevator and reached the top floor and thankfully, Seth was in his office. Isabella went towards her desk and sat Angela down on the desk as she sat down on the cahir, still holding Angela in her place. As there was no work so she decided to play with Angela.

"Are you hungry, boo?" She asked and the little girl nodded. She fed her milk from her bottle and played with her.

"La" Angela called out

"Yeah?" Isabella asked. Angela pointed to her right cheek, wanting a kiss. Isabella smooch her with a kiss on her right cheek. Soon, Seth came out of his office and smiled at the sight of Angela. Angela herself squealed as she saw him.

"Sese" She called him that as it was difficult for her to say Seth.

"Angie, how are you?" Seth said as he picked the little girl up and she squealed, she pointed to her cheek once again and Seth kissed her understanding what she wanted.

"La" She called out and Isabella stood up from her chair and went near them.

"Yes, boo" Isabella asked not meeting Seth's eyes. Angela pointed to Seth's cheek and looked towards her. She wanted Isabella to kiss Seth.

"No, boo. I'm not doing that" Isabella refused shaking her head and Angela cried out loud "Okay okay, stop crying I'm doing" Isabella said and she stopped crying. Isabella looked towards Seth and saw him smirking at her, she walked near him and leaned in as she slightly kissed his left cheek causing butterflies to erupt in her stomach.

"Sese" Angela called out while pointing towards Isabella's cheek. Seth leaned in and gave a big kiss to her cheek causing her to blush.

"Smart girl" Seth muttered which was clearly directed towards Angela.

The day went pretty fast and Jessica came to take Angela back as it was already Isabella's time to leave so she took a ride from Jessica which she gladly gave her. Isabella went home, warmed up some leftover food and ate it in silence realising how much she missed Megan.
