Chapter 31: Friend Trouble

Feeling nervous, Isabella stepped inside the company with Seth. Their hands were enterwined and her eyes were fixed on the floor, she couldn't even dare to look up and face the shocked faces of people. Murmerings were heard as soon as they came in sight, some faces were smiling, some shocked  while Seth's fan club girls were glaring at Isabella.

"May I steal your girlfriend for a minute?" Ellie asked as soon as she saw Seth and Isabella entering the company. Her mouth was still slightly parted at their enterwined hands while Carson was standing across from her smirking with a I-told-you-so look in his eyes.

"Sure" Seth said as he un enterwined his hand from hers and walked away.

"What was that?" Ellie asked

"Uh what?" Isabella asked pretending to be unsure of what just happened

"Don't play dumb with me woman, are you guys together?" Ellie asked

"Uh yeah" Isabella replied and Ellie fist pumped in the air.

"I knew it!" She said and hugged Isabella "I'm so happy for you, you're finally going to get laid" Isabella smacked her arm while glaring at her.

"Well, hello future sister in law!" Carson exclaimed and Isabella instantly turned beetroot red, she knew he was just playing around with her but the idea of her and Seth tied in a bound called marriage was a whole different thing.

"Hello to you too, where have you been? It's been a whole month since I last saw you" Isabella said

"Well, you can say that something was keeping me busy" He said smirking towards Ellie

"Something or someone" Isabella said nudging Ellie in her arm

"Don't tease me, Bella. It's you we are talking about here!" Ellie complained

"Ell, I'm getting late I'll tell you everything at lunch"

"Okay fine but don't you dare even miss a single thing" Ellie said

"I will tell you everything, bye" Isabella said and walked towards the elevator.

Seth had picked her up from her house earlier that morning, he even brought a rose for her which was indeed very sweet. Her grandma and Megan were asleep so they didn't know he came and she didn't even tell them about this whole thing. They had breakfast in Starbucks and then came to the company together, hand in hand.

She walked out of the elevator and walked towards her desk as she settled her things in their usual place. She opened the first drawer to take out the files when she saw a sticky note laying there.

You didn't reply my text properly so I thought you would like these sticky notes thing__ Stefan

Isabella sighed out loud as she crumpled the sticky note. She was trying her best to avoid Stefan but he was also trying his best to get back into her life which she wanted but didn't at the same time. Things would be complicated for them and she knew if he would confess his feelings for again then Seth would explode. But the question wandering around in her mind was how did Stefan even come to know that she worked here as Seth's PA. She put her head in her hands and thought about who could possibly tell him? Then it hit.

Megan or Penelope.

She texted Megan if it was her free period so she could call her without disturbing her in the class and the reply came instantly saying yes.

"Hello, Izzy. Is everything alright?" Megan asked, she was the one who called.

"Yes Meg, everything is alright" Isabella said as she stood up from her chair.

"What is it?" Megan asked

"I wanted to ask you something,you remember Stefan, my friend? did he come yesterday at our house?" Isabella asked

"Ah yes, I forgot to tell uou, he came by yesterday asking about you when you were at work so I gave told him where you work. Why are you asking though, is everything alright?" Megan said

Isabella sighed out loud and said " Y-yeah everything is fine" She quickly hung up the phone and turned towards her desk but instead, she came face to face with Seth.

"You scared me" Isabella breathed out. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer. She shivered when his nose touched her.

"Who were you talking to?" He asked

"Megan" Isabella said and he nodded.

"You seem worried, is everything alright?" He asked removing a strand of her hair

"Yes, everything is just perfect" She said, lying through her gritted teeth. He moved back a little and took her face in his hands.

"You know I can easily tell when someone is lying, so there is no point in lying to me" Seth said. Isabella's shoulders slumped as she wrapped her arms around his neck and buried her head in the crook of his neck. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her temple.

"Tell me what is bothering you, baby girl" Seth said

"It's nothing, really" She said her eyes on the floor.

"Tell me" He said pulling her chin up with his finger

"It's just that I've been receiving some texts lately from Stefan, my high school friend" Isabella said

"And, what is the problem in that ?" He asked but there was slight possessiveness in his voice.

"H-he kind of confessed his feelings to me after we graduated from high school so I'm scared that he would do it again but I don't want to ruin the friendship we have and the other thing, I-I'm not single anymore" She finished smiling.

"That bastard! How dare he even texted you again?" Seth said running a hand through his hair

"Uh it wasn't just texts, he left me a sticky note too" Isabella said pulling out the note from her drawer before handing it to him.

"I'll ruin him" He said once he read the note

"It's not that important just leave it, we should work" She said putting a hand on his chest and she instantly felt him relax.

"And what kind of work should we do?" He asked as she backed away a little from him bug stopped when her legs touched her desk.

"Uh, whatever you like" She said, blushing at her own statement and not believing that she actually said it.

"I think there should be some fun involved in it" He spoke in her ear huskily.

"And what kind of fun?" Isabella asked, biting her lip

"Something where you would be under me-" He started but Isabella cut him off by placing her hand on his mouth. She giggled when his lips touched her hand making it tickle

"You're such a pervert, I think you should be given a lesson" Isabella said

"Yes ma'am, I should be given a lesson but would it involve you in a sexy teacher costume?" He asked, pretending to be innocent

"No, you've been a bad boy. You won't get to see me in that costume" Isabella said and turned towards her left to escape but he caught her wrist and pulled her towards him.

"You are the one who have been a bad girl, Ms. Smith. I think you should be punished"

"And why is that?" Isabella asked

"You don't kiss me enough" He pouted and she blushed

"Seth, we've been in a relationship for just a day how am I supposed to give you so many kisses in a day?" She asked fighting off the smile which was threatening to spread on her lips.

"You would've already if you wanted to" He said as he turned her back to her, pretending to be sad

"Aww, is little Sethy sad?" Isabella cooed

"I'm a hundred percent sure that I'm not little, Isabella" He spoke huskily to her. She blushed instantly and bit her lip before pulling him closer and crashing her lips onto his. He responded immediately, pulling her incredibly close to her. They continued kissing like there was no tomorrow. They pulled back when they heard a thud noise. Thiago stood there with his widened eyes and a fat book was lying on the ground. Isabella tamed her hair and ran towards the elevator before pressing on the last floor. The embarrassment was something she could not bear at the moment because she could imagine how crazy they would've looked kissing like that. She reapplied her lipstick and walked out of the elevator towards Ellie, probably going to tell her the whole story if she was free.

Hey guys! Sorry for the late update, school was crazy this week and I even had an extra class today on Saturday, this is so unfair :'(
