Chapter 32: Mine

Our beloved Seth up there^^

"Woah man, what was that?" Thiago asked as he watched Isabella leaving the floor and running towards the elevator like her life was dependent on it. "Are you screwing her?" He continued

"Do not even dare to talk like that about her, she's my girlfriend man. I ain't beating the shit out of you because you are my best friend" Seth said clenching his fists

"Woah man, talk about possessive by the way never thought you would settle down this soon" Thiago said

"I never thought too, but the day Isabella walked into my life, everything thing changed and I'm glad it did" Seth said smiling

"You're whipped, man!" Thiago laughed as Seth threw a pen at him which resulted in earning an 'ow' from him

"You told her about Vanessa?" Thiago asked

"No, but I'm planning to tell her soon" Seth said as he thought what would Isabella think of him after knowing about his past.

Isabella told Ellie the story about how she and Seth got into a relationship briefly and all she did was grin and squeal at random parts of the story. "Stop with that squealing, Ell and you're looking like a retarded seal while clapping like that" this instantly stopped her.

"I'm so happy for you, you're not a virgin Jane anymore!" Ellie exclaimed

"Ellie! Tone it down and we haven't did i-it" Isabella whispered passing assuring smiles to the people looking at them with widened eyes

"Yet" Ellie said as she smirked and Isabella glared at her.

"Carson, are you alright now?"Isabella asked Carson who was standing with them busy with his phone

"What happened to me?" He asked, his eyes held confusion in them

"You were sick, right?" Isabella asked smiling

"Oh yeah, Carson you were sick yes you were sick, remember?" Ellie said nudging him on his stomach.

"Oh yeah, right I was sick, how could I forget it" He said muttering the last part. Isabella found this situation fishy and she frowned watching them both intently to find any signs of lie.

"Are you guys hiding something from me?" Isabella asked crossing her arms on her chest

"N-no, why would we hide anything from you?" Ellie said smiling brightly

"Ellie" Isabella glared at her knowing completely that they were lying to her as Ellie never smiled that brightly, like ever.

Ellie sighed as she looked towards Carson who just shrugged at her "That day when we planned a sleepover at your place and I texted you that Carson got sick, he actually didn't it was just a setup"

"Setup?" Isabella asked, confused

"Yeah, we set everything up with Seth that Carson was going to be fake sick and I would take care of him so he could sleepover at your house instead of me, you know because he wanted to spend time with you" Ellie finished

"Wait, so his car didn't run out of gas or broke down and his phone wasn't dead, you liars!" Isabella exclaimed

"Yup, you're right and it was all for a good cause and see because of that where you guys are standing now happy in a relationship" Ellie said smiling

"I know" Isabella smiled back at her friend.

They were interrupted by a throat being cleared. Their heads instantly turned towards from where the voice came. Isabella gasped as her eyes widened and she backed away from the person while Ellie was just watching both of them with a confused expression on her face.

"Stefan?"

"Yes Isabella, that's me your 'best friend' whom you don't even have time to talk to" He said quoting the words best friend. She took in his apperarence, his blond hair was tousled back and he was wearing a pair of  blue jeans with a white T-shirt and a black and white checkered shirt above it whose buttons were left open.

"I-It's not like that, Stefan. Anyways, what are you doing here?" Isabella asked

"I thought I should pay you a visit after so many years and surprise you" He said, smirking but there was something about his smirk which made her tremble.

"Uh, it was really nice to meet you again Stefan b-but I have to get back to work now" Isabella said, trying to excuse herself but failed

"I'm sure your boss would not mind us having lunch at the nearest restaurant as it is already lunch time" He smirked

"Uh, but I'm already going to have lunch with them" She said smiling towards Ellie and Carson forcing them to say yes with her eyes

"Yeah man, she's already booked for the afternoon, go find someone else" Carson said and Isabella mentally praised him

"I suppose it's none of your business whom I'm going to lunch with?" Stefan said his hands resting in his pockets

"But I suppose it is my business if you're taking my girlfriend to lunch" A voice spoke from behind them. Seth stood there while sipping his coffee. His sleeves were rolled up to his arms and he wasn't wearing his blazer.

"Girlfriend? Impressive, Bella. You're screwing your own boss? Never thought of you as that" Stefan said, there was this bitter tone in his voice which Isabella was shocked of as well as she hated it. She was having a hard time believing that he was the same Stefan she met years ago because he definitely wasn't, he was being a jerk today.

"I suggest you to shut your mouth before you're drown in this hot coffee" Seth said clenching his fists "And I suppose it's none of your business whoever she dates, now get out of my company!"

"I'm her best friend so it is kind of my business to protect my friend from assholes like you" Stefan said pointing towards Seth "And what did you even find in him, I could give you much better than he can"

"Stefan, get out of here, I don't want to listen ant of your bullshits and are you even hearing yourself? How are you talking to me? Are you even the same Stefan I left all those years ago?" Isbaella exclaimed

"No, I'm certainly not the same Stefan you left all those years ago, Bella. I'm definitely changed" He smirked and left the building. Isabella was too shocked to even funcyion, she couldn't believe how rude he was being, something definitely happened to make him like this because he was always so sweet and caring.

Seth took her hand and led her yowards the elevator, she saw his jaw clenching and she instantly knew he was angry. Her heart was hammering against her chest as she thought of what would happen once they reach the top floor because it was like only fire was remaining to come out of his eyes and mouth. He practically dragged her out of the elevator .

"You're mine, only mine" He said walking out of the elevator

He grabbed her but as he pushed her aginst the nearest wall. His lips grazed the back of her ear

"Are you scared?" He asked

"N-no" She breathed out

"So say you're mine" He said and she looked at him, confused "Say it" he said once again kissing her neck slightly

"I-I'm yours" She breathed out heavily.

"Good, get back to work" He said as he pecked her forehead and went in his office. Isabella placed her hand in her chest, trying to steady her heartbeats. His behaviour was unusual but it still made her weak in the knees like it always did.

Hailey was as usual busy with typing with the emails to the partners of the company when she heard her intercom beep.

Ms. Radwell, in my office now

Hailey stood up as she took out the files from the drawer, she knew he needed them. She passed a smiled to one of her co-workers who also worked on that floor along with others and went in his office.

"Mr. Martin, you needed me?" Hailey asked as she felt her heartbeat quicken at the sight of John wearing glasses

"Yes, I need those files which I gave you and that pen drive in which my presentation is stored, just open it on my computer so I could review it" John said and Hailey nodded

She walked towards him, placed the files on his desk and inserted the pen drive into the USB port. All this time she could feel his eyes on her face and it was uncomfortable working when he was staring at her. She cleared her throat and straightened herself from the bending position.

"It's done" She said to him but he was still staring at her

"Mr. Martin?" She clapped her hands in front of him and moved closer so that they were just inches apart. Still no response.

"John- ahhh what the hell?" She screamed as she landed on his lap. On no time he started tickling her sides and she laughed out loud

"S-stop, John!" She laughed as she tried to stop him and he stopped after some time

"That was for adding salt into my coffee instead of sugar" John said

"I thought you wouldn't like sugar as you're sweet enough" She said fake smiling, hoping to get away with the topic

"This doesn't work with me Ms. Radwell, try something else" He said, amusement dancing in his eyes

"Umm, okay I'm sorry I will never put salt in your coffee again, happy? Now leave me I have to work" Hailey said trying to push him but he only held her close

"There's no escaping now, Ms. Radwell" He said, nearing his face to hers. Her breath hitched in her throat as she asked " W-what do you mean?"

"This" He said as he captured her lips with his, she was too shocked to even comprehend what he just did but she kissed him back anyway because she couldn't resist his soft lips.
