“Do you see that?! Do you see that?! It’s a 99 roses bouquet, and the bouquet is so huge! It symbolizes everlasting love. Oh… that’s so romantic!” As soon as Zhao Youlin was out of her sight, the female head of department tossed the report to the side. She held her face as if she had fallen in love.

The female head of department took the lead and soon, other ladies inside the meeting room followed suit, “Indeed, this is the fifth bouquet for this week. My goodness, a 99 roses bouquet every day?! That is so enviable! I bet someone must be pursuing our general manager!”

Right after the female colleague spoke, everyone inside the office immediately discussed it, “Cheh! Everyone can see that someone is pursuing our general manager, okay?! We’re not that stupid to bet with you on this!”

The female colleague choked after the crowd scoffed at her. Immediately after, she changed her attitude. She faked a cough and said, “Let me change it, then. I bet… I bet that the one who pursues General Manager is the president of Mu Feng Group. He put his own life at stake just to save her when she was trapped in the elevator last time!”

“This is possible. I bet the one who pursues the general manager is the young master of the Ye family. Last time, he was frequently seen with the general manager and later, they reportedly had dinner together.”

Zhao Youlin narrowed her eyes and blurted out faintly, “Throw it away, then.”

“Throw it away?”

“Yes. Just throw it. If you ever receive flowers like this from an anonymous person again in the future, just throw all of them inside the rubbish bin. There’s no need to bring them to me. Who knows if a timebomb has been placed inside a large bouquet like this, or something might spread out of it that can cause our skins to rot? Since that person doesn’t even dare to leave his name, there might be some nefarious intentions behind it.”

Xiao Jingyao fell speechless. He felt that he was holding some sort of hot potato in his hand, and he felt uncomfortable all over his entire body.

“Above all…” Zhao Youlin glared at the bouquet of roses in disdain and stated her feeling, “What kind of awful color is this?! This is too striking! Simply a lack of taste!”

Xiao Jingyao fell silent. He thought she was right. So, he did not say anything.

The expensive bouquet of roses ended up in the trash along with other piles of garbage.

On the other hand, unbeknownst to the person who had delivered the flowers, his flowers were abandoned. Yet, he was still feeling anxious about pursuing someone for the first time in his life. Although his emotion was disguised under his ever stoic face and others could not see how nervous he actually was, as the chief secretary who was good at figuring out his superior’s mood and knew his behavior and attitude like the back of his hand, as well as already perceived the once gossip but now his mission to matchmake the president and the former Mrs. President, all these were nothing to him!

The truth was, Zhao Youlin had initially wanted Li to place the bouquet outside first so that the janitor could take it away when he arrived. When Xia Zhetao saw Mu Tingfeng no longer appeared to be as averse to the idea as before, he pressed on by adding, “As long as we remain mysterious and send the flowers anonymously, once Ms. Zhao is touched by this, only then do we appear. Even though Ms. Zhao has some prejudice with you due to past events, she would at least consider your recent thoughtfulness and forgive you, as well as return to you. With my many years of experience mingling around with women, I can guarantee you that this would certainly work!”
