Looking at the person who had appeared all of a sudden behind Mu Tingfeng, the smile on Xia Zhetao’s face turned stiff. He said sheepishly, “Ah! I suddenly remember that I was in too much of a hurry just now, and I haven’t had time to pay for the medical bill yet. I’ll do it right now!”

With that, Xia Zhetao fled away without a sense of decency. Mu Tingfeng was left behind alone to face Zhao Youlin.

“Have you finished thinking about how to explain to me?” Seeing that Mu Tingfeng did not say anything even after some time, Zhao Youlin furrowed her eyebrows and reminded him again.

Mu Tingfeng’s expression turned stiff for a few seconds before he answered coolly, “She is my younger cousin.”

“What?!” Zhao Youlin was stunned. She stared at Mu Tingfeng as if to confirm if she had heard it wrongly or Mu Tingfeng had said it wrongly.

“Su He is my younger cousin. She’s my uncle’s daughter.” Mu Tingfeng briefly stated Su He’s identity. The next moment, he was afraid that Zhao Youlin might not understand what he said, and he added, “Her grandfather is my grandmother’s biological older brother.”

Zhao Youlin was dumbfounded. She had to organize the information from Mu Tingfeng’s words.

If she remembered correctly, the information from the earlier investigation had stated that Mu Tingfeng’s grandmother, who was also Su Ruixin’s mother, was from the Su family.

“No?” Zhao Youlin furrowed her eyebrows. Apart from this, she could not think of any other better reason on why he would allow a pampered lady like Su He to work as her secretary.

Mu Tingfeng did not respond to her. Instead, he moved his gaze and rested on the dispirited Ye Yan.

Zhao Youlin moved along Mu Tingfeng’s gaze. Her eyes flashed when she saw Ye Yan.

“Regarding this incident, you could seek an explanation from Su He after she is out of danger. She did not have any… malicious intent toward you.” Mu Tingfeng cast a glance at Zhao Youlin worriedly.

To be frank. He was worried. It had not been easy for him and Zhao Youlin to be together. They were about to remarry. He truly did not want any accident to happen at this moment.

Of course, as Su He’s older cousin as well as Zhao Youlin’s future husband, he also did not want Zhao Youlin to hold any grudges against them.

Why didn’t you guys even have knowledge that the patient is already pregnant? Besides, she’s already over four months pregnant. Over four months!”

When the nurse emphasized the period of Su He’s pregnancy, the crowd looked more or less embarrassed.

Indeed, the young lady was already over four months pregnant and had been staying right next to them whom they could easily reach out for. Yet, none of them had noticed that she was pregnant!

Ye Yan clenched both of his hands. A trace of obscure bright light and heartache pain flashed across his eyes.

The nurse rolled her eyes in resignation at them before she summoned up her courage again and said, “Well, you guys can continue to discuss this after the patient is out of danger. We are in desperate need of help for the patient now. I repeat, any of you who are type AB?”

“Me! Me! Me! I am type AB!” Right after the nurse spoke, Li cried out excitedly.

The nurse heaved a sigh and said in a low voice, “Come with me. The rest, stay here.”
