Chapter 56
A Farewell After Being Reborn
Tiana was standing in front of the camera. Behind her, her husband had his head lowered as he looked
at the documents in his hands.
It wasnât quite a group photo, but Tiana was smiling happily.
Sage couldnât bring herself to disrupt Tianaâs sweet holiday. After thinking about it, Sage sent a
message to Priscilla.
âMrs. Xenith, do you have time this afternoon? Would you like to go for a full- body spa day?
âIâm not trying to rush you about the matter with Mimosa. I just heard that thereâs a newly opened
beauty salon which is quite decent. I want to invite you to try it out with me.â
Sage felt that it would be too sudden to tell Priscilla straight away, but she would feel bad if she didnât
say it. So, she wanted to see how Priscilla felt about
Benjamin before deciding on her next step.
After a while, Priscilla replied, âSure.â
Sage sighed in relief. After settling on a time with Priscilla, she sent her the address of the beauty
salon.
Just then, Wanda served lunch.
âLetâs eat together, Wanda. Thereâs just the two of us, anyway,â Sage invited her.
Wanda felt that Sage had gotten friendlier and more casual than before, so she didnât decline
âMrs. Holcomb, Mr. Holcomb had spent the whole night on the couch last night. When he went out this
morning, I heard him coughing a little. I wonder if he caught a cold,â Wanda said.
Sage simply gave an âOhâ before enjoying the meal.
Wanda fell silent. She had a feeling that Sage didnât care about Ian that much anymore, but she had no
idea why.
Wanda continued, âMrs. Holcomb, why donât you call Mr. Holcomb and ask him to come home early?
This morning, Mrs. Holcomb Senior asked that you make sure Mr. Holcomb drinks his herbal soups.â
It would be quite an interesting task to make sure that lan drank his herbal soups.
âWanda, is the herbal soup ready?â Sage asked.
Wanda nodded. âIâve placed it over low heat on the stove, so Mr. Holcomb can drink it whenever he
likes after he comes back.â
âLetâs not wait for him to come back,â Sage said. âHerbal soup is only effective if you take it on time.
Wanda, please put some in a container. Iâll deliver it to lan!â
Sage would pass by Holcomb Corporation on the way to the beauty salon. She had quite some time to
kill before she met up with Priscilla, so she felt that she could watch Ianâs expressions while she was at
it.
Ian might feel so embarrassed that he would want to sign the divorce agreement in a fit of rage.
Wanda felt very comforted when she heard Sageâs words. She thought that she was looking too much
into it and that Sage still cared a lot about Ian.
After the meal, Sage drove to Holcomb Corporation.
Sage was holding the container of herbal soup and was about to enter the building when she saw a
man walking in her direction.
His hair was combed back, and he was wearing branded clothing. He was dressed up just like an idol.
Sage knew him. He was Calvin.
Calvin was two years younger than Ian, and Sage heard that he had idolized Ian since young.
Ian was dissatisfied with Sage, so Calvin also refused to acknowledge Sage as
Ianâs wife.
Sage felt that she was not obliged to humor people who didnât acknowledge her.
Hence, she looked up and decided that she would pretend to be a stranger.
Of course, Calvin spotted Sage as well.
He was waiting for Sage to greet him enthusiastically, just like before.
But in the end, Sage kept walking without even sparing him a glance.
Sage was about to walk past him when Calvin let out a loud cough.
Sage heard it, but she hastily stayed away from him as if she didnât want to catch the virus. She
decided to walk around him instead.
Calvin was speechless.
âWhat are you doing here?â In the end, Calvin stopped Sage.
When he noticed the container in her hands, Calvin snorted. âYouâre going to pester lan again, huh?
Heâs very busy, so he doesnât have time for you!
âSage, you canât force someone to like you. Canât you fall for someone else and set lan free?â
