I finally walked into the gym of the school after sitting out in the car for like thirty minutes due to me talking to Jamal on FaceTime along with having a little anxiety attack. Everyone was dancing as I seen Spencer look back at me as Layla looked at Spencer then at me with hurt

then she simply rolled her eyes, grabbed Spencer's hand and walked to another part of the gym. I just looked for Serenity and Alexis finding them with their dates which was Jordan and Christian.

"You look so pretty!" Alexis yelled over the music to me as I smiled "thank you" I thanked before complimenting her look for tonight. I started dancing with Serenity and Alexis to "Be Alright" by Ariana Grande as everyone around us was dancing. I noticed that I felt someone staring at me , I turned seeing That Spencer was dancing with Layla as she was the one staring. She then turned back around smiling at Spencer. "I can beat her ass if you want?" Serenity said as I just shook my head. "We're too classy for that" I said as Serenity laughed.

"You was out here curb stomping bitches What happened?" She asked as Alexis,Serenity and I shared a laugh. About an hour and a half went by as they were beginning to crown homecoming king and Queen. Asher went on stage clearly intoxicated. "Is he drunk?" Serenity asked mid clap "welcome to Beverly" Alexis simply said clapping. "This is ghetto" I joked as he started speaking on the mic.

"Thank you everyone, I would like to give a shout out to the love of my life, Layla" he started off pointing in her direction as Everyone looked at Spencer and Layla. Spencer took his hands from Layla as she was saying something to him. "Tell him about that night we slept together" Asher added as my eyes got big. "They messier than a hood public school" Serenity said as they took the mic from Asher and pulled him off stage.

They immediately had the DJ play slow music as everyone started linking up. Serenity looked at me for permission to dance with Jordan as I just faintly smiled. She smiled and wrapped her arms around him as Alexis paired up with Christian. I looked around seeing everyone paired up then decided to step out for a moment.

I went to go sit on the steps as I FaceTimed Jamal and he answered. "They slow dancing?" He asked as I rested my elbow on my lap then placed my Chin on my fist. "Yup" I answered. "Well at least you look good. You look very pretty I almost didn't recognize you" he said as I giggled. "Thanks but clearly none of this got me a date nor a dance" I said as he smiled.

"Just Go take an edible" he suggested as I laughed. "I've never done it" I admitted "I got you, Halloween you're in for a treat" he said as my eyes widened some and we shared a laugh. "Where's Spencer?" He asked. "I'm not sure something just happen and I need to call him to make sure he's okay" I started off.

"Call him and then you enjoy the rest of your night. You're too pretty to just be sitting on the stairs for homecoming " he said as I smiled. "Thank you Jamal, I'll call you when I get back home" I assured. "Okay" He said as we said our goodbyes and I hung up beginning to call Spencer.  "You alright?" He asked as I looked up seeing Spencer standing in front of me.

"Yeah are you okay?!" I asked as he sat next to me "yeah I'm fine" he assured.

"that was embarrassing, you sure?" I asked. "Yeah I already knew something was up. "So you two broke up huh?" I asked. "Yup and I'm sort of happy about it" he admitted as I giggled and he smiled looking over at me. "You didn't say anything to me when we were in the house, what's up?" He asked as I just shook my head and did a small laugh not looking at him. "I had a little anxiety running through" I started off as he chuckled "About what?" He asked.

"Me and my outfit, I was just buggin' out" I admitted as he chuckled. "You look beautiful" he said as I just smiled and looked down in my lap. "Why you out here sitting when you should be in there?" He asked nodding his head towards the gym as I finally looked at him.

"A slow song came on and I let everyone I was dancing with go dance with their dates. Just for me to realize now I was going to be by myself" I explained.

"My sister even has someone to dance with" I brought up as we shared a small laugh. I stood up then fixed my dress "I'm just going to head home I had fun for the night" I admitted before he stood up fixing himself. "What about your sister?" Spencer asked "she's staying at her friends house for a couple of days so her things are in Laura and uncle Billy's car just in case I left early" I explained. "You had a whole escape plan?"  Spencer joked as we walked out the doors of the school.

"Yeah but I had fun tonight for this being my first Homecoming I actually attended" I said. "Really?" Spencer asked looking over at me as we walked down the stairs of the school. "Yeah I just didn't care for them 9th and 10th" I admitted. "So what made you change your mind?" Spencer asked as we made it to our cars and we turned to each other.

"I don't know I'm happy here. Back home I felt as if I was locked up and I never realized til now. Me living here, although I have minor issues it feels like I'm free" I explained as we shared a smile. "I know it sounds stupid" I started off then laughed some. "Nah it's like a breath of relief" he said as I smiled. "Yeah" I agreed then unlocked the car doors.

"I'll see you in a little while" I said as he smiled getting in the car as he closed the door for me and I drove off. I drove back home as I unlocked the house door walking into a quiet house. My mother was gone until Monday night so I had the house to myself until then all I was really going to do was sleep and eat since we're on break also. Throwing a party and to sneak around requires to much energy so I was going to chill out with Spencer tonight and the dog the rest of the time being.

I kicked my heels off taking Dakota to the bathroom once she was finished I went back into the house going to wash my hands. As I finished drying my hands with a paper towel I heard a knock at the door. I went to the door peeking out through the peek hole. I then seen Spencer standing there with a bag.

I immediately opened it "homecomings not even over yet" I brought up as he walked in and I closed the door behind him. "Yeah but you deserve your dance" he started off as I smiled. "I should've asked you at the school but I didn't want you to feel uncomfortable in front of everyone else" he said as I just continued to smile. He pulled his phone out as "POV" by Ariana Grande started to play and I immediately smiled.

"This is my favorite song by her" I started off "I know" he said as I smiled "I never told you that" I brought up. "No but Your best friend comes in handy" he said as he wrapped my arms around his neck. "Wait" I said pausing the music off his phone going to play it throughout the house on the speakers.

"Hold on" I said as he chuckled and I turned off all the lights then turned on the overhead light to the stove as I tried to set the mood. I ran around the island to him as he chuckled wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck starting the song over from off my phone as it started over throughout the house. "Alright there" I said as Spencer and I shared a laugh.

"Alright I never slowed dance before-" I started off. "Don't over think it. We got it" he assured as I smiled then looked down. "When slow dancing you have to look at the person" he said before lifting my chin up and we shared a smile.

We slowly swayed to the beat as he brought me closer and we smiled. I just looked at the ceiling "not me getting like this over no Guy I'm probably not going to know after high school" I thought to myself.

"What are you thinking about?" He asked as I just smiled "nothing" I lied. "What are you doing tomorrow?" He asked as I shook my head. "I'm just going to chill here and I think Olivia wants to come over and talk" I said as he smiled some. "That's good after four almost five months of you being here you two get to talk" he brought up. "Yeah she looked so pretty tonight!" I expressed as he just smiled down at me. "What?" I asked.

"We were saying the same thing about you" he said as I smiled. "I forgot to tell you, you look handsome" I said as he brushed his shoulders off. "If you feeling like a pimp, nigga go on and brush your shoulders off" I rapped as Spencer brushed his shoulders off "ladies is pimps too, go on, brush your shoulders off" he rapped as I brushed my shoulders off.

"Niggas is crazy, baby. Don't forget that boy told you" we started off "get that dirt off your shoulders" we said to each other before sharing a laugh. "What you know about HOV?" He asked "what you know about him?" I asked back as he chuckled. "Just a little something you know we different out here on the west not to brag we have pac" he said in a bragging tone. "And we got biggie my love so let's not start" I said wrapping my arms back around his neck.

"But we have snoop" he added "y'all female rappers not dominating east side though and that's facts lil Kim and nicki go crazy" I simply said as he chuckled "that's true but who really coming out of New York for real for real?" He asked. "You don't want to do this" I started off as he chuckled. "Who really some heavy hitters out of New York?" He asked as I just raised my brows then turned on all the lights making him laugh.

"You dead ass right now?" I asked "I'm just saying" he said with a small shrug before taking his suit jacket off. I paused the music that was playing throughout the house. "We got Biggie, HOV, Diddy, Nas, MA$E, 50, Pop, Ghostface Killah, LL Cool J, Method man, DARK MAN FUCKING X, Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, wu-tang clan, Fat Joe, Remy ma-" I started off naming on my fingers as Spencer made a face.

"Remy ma?" He asked "don't do that because I love Nicki but she bodied nicki in that diss track. She gave off the same vibes as hit em up by Pac" I said as he laughed. "Relax" he said coming up to me "nah because you think you got jokes and I don't appreciate you trying to be a comedian when you know, we bodying California." I said as he chuckled. "Are we going to watch some movies or what?" He asked as I just smiled.
