Spencer

I was at work since we didn't have any practice today due to coach attending some meeting so I picked up a shift.  It was around six as I heard someone walk in and I welcomed them in not paying any attention. "Hi" I heard as I finally looked up and seen Y/N. "Y/N?" I said as she looked up from her wallet and she now had glasses on.

"Hey, I wasn't even paying attention" She admitted as I chuckled "you good" I started off. "You wear glasses?" I asked as she nodded "yeah I mostly wear it when I'm studying and doing homework" she admitted as I smiled "it looks cute on you" I complimented as she laughed "really? I always thought I looked less attractive with them on" she expressed. "Like I've seen hella girls with glasses who looked good and then there's me" she admitted as I chuckled.

"No you look nice in them" I assured as she smiled. "What you in here for?" I asked "well I wanted to try something different and study outside the house" she said as I nodded my head to seats that I was working in front of. She sat in the seat and propped her iPad up "you want me to get anything?" I asked as she pulled out the pen to her iPad. "Uh an iced coffee" she started off as I looked at her. "Nah how's your sleeping schedule?" I asked as she just smiled. "Spencer I'm good now" She assured. "Yeah aight what you want in it?" I asked as she started telling me everything she wanted in it.

I then handed her the cup as she took a sip from it and smiled immediately. "Thanks" she thanked. "What time you get off?" She asked. "Eight, why? What's up?" I questioned. "Nothing you want me to walk you home?" She asked as I chuckled. "It sounds like you want me to walk you home" I brought up as she smiled. "If you're scared of the dark just say that" I teased as she rolled her eyes playfully looking down at her iPad.

"I'll let you walk me home" I said in a chuckle as she shook her head letting out a small laugh. "No like did you want to walk home together since we were in the same neighborhood" she corrected. "Yeah I got you" I said before she smiled some then went back too studying. I left her alone for like thirty minutes going to take people orders and soon we were about to close and Y/N was the only one here still.

"Miss We're about to close" my manager said as I intervened "nah it's cool She with me" I assured refilling the salt and pepper shakers. "What you studying?" I asked "Trigonometry, I just want to make sure I'm good because final exams are coming soon and I just want to be prepared" she admitted. "We don't have finals until next month and we just started November" I brought up in a chuckle. "Yeah but we have a project for anatomy as a final and then the rest of my other finals all while trig is kicking my ass" she explained.

"If you ever need help with trig, I got you on that one" I assured looking between her and the salt shakers.

"Really? You're good at it?" She questioned. "I got a ninety-seven" I brought up as she sucked her teeth "lucky" she mumbled as I chuckled. "I got you, just let me know and we can study or something" I assured wiping down everything and cleaning up. I soon was done as Y/N placed her purse over her shoulder and I placed my coat on. "You got everything?" I asked. "Yeah" she said as I held the door for her and she thanked me.

"How you been holding up?" She asked "I've been straight" I admitted as she let out a small laugh "I just thought I should ask" she said making my chuckle. "I'm good Layla is trying but" I started off then shook my head. "Well you know the

Holiday season coming up so she wants a boo for that" she joked as I just chuckled. "She'll survive I promise" I assured.

"You miss New York?" I asked as she looked over at me then shrugged some. "From time to time I don't miss the altercations I used to get into while out there" she admitted as I chuckled "you were really out there putting hands on people?" I asked looking over at her. "Yeah and now that I look back at it, it's so embarrassing but I had valid reasons for the most part" she admitted "for the most part" I repeated as we shared a laugh.

"What are you going to do after high school?" I asked before looking over at her. "Well if everything goes well I was going to go to school for sports medicine" she said as I looked at her. "Really?" I asked kind of shocked as she laughed. "What?" She questioned "no I just thought you would've went for dance" I said. "No I definitely want to go for sports medicine" she answered "what made you want to do that?" I asked intrigued.

"You know that movie "just wright"?" She asked as I started laughing. "You're joking?" I questioned.

"Yeah but I always wanted to be in the medical field. I enjoy helping people and encouraging people to keep going so I felt that, that job was something I could do and then the benefits behind it, is good also" she started off "if I could work for an NBA team or a NFL team it's over with" she expressed as we shared a small laugh. "Say you get into the NBA or NFL. What teams are you trying to get a job with?" I asked.

"If Lebron or Curry ain't on it, I don't want it" she said making me laugh. "No real talk I want to get one in the NFL" she admitted. "Really?" I asked "yeah being out there during the super bowl don't sound too bad" she said as I chuckled. "So what team?" I asked as she snickered some. "This might sound stupid" she started off "you say the jets I'm losing my shit" I admitted as she scrunched her face up and we shared a laugh.

"Miami dolphins and only because Disney world is out there and I've never been to Disney world" she admitted as I chuckled. "Me either" I admitted "I haven't even been to Disney land and we're in the same state as it" I said as she let out a small laugh. "So the end of junior year when we get out for summer break we should go to Disney land" she suggested as I smiled "it's like forty five minutes away and we can bring Dillion and Storm" she added.

"It sounded like a date til you added our siblings in" I said as we stopped in front of her house and I turned To face her and she Turned smiling. "Would you like it to be a date?" She asked. "Yeah that would be cool but I feel like that's way to long to wait for a date" I said as she just smiled. "So what's the move?" She asked "what you doing this weekend besides studying?" I asked "nothing that I know of" she answered. "Still want to go to the Santa Monica pier?" I asked as she just smiled big.

"Yeah" she answered as we shared a smile "and only if you're down we can go see Venom later on" I suggested "duh I'm a marvel freak you ain't got to tell me twice" she expressed excited as I smiled. "I'll pick you up at like 5:30" I said as she smiled "okay" she agreed with a smile. "Make sure you text me and let me know you got back to the house safely" she said as I smiled. "I got you" I assured. "Good night" I said "good night" she said with a smile before walking into the house and closing the door behind her. I just smiled and went back home.
