Spencer

It was the day before Y/N and I's anatomy project was due and she still wasn't really talking to me. She talked to me about the school work and that was that. Today I was going to her place after school so we can work on the project and bake the cake. Not only that but since Y/N's been here guys would talk to her but I've been seeing a lot of guys push up on her More lately and it honestly bothered me.

What's going on with you?" I heard Layla ask as I was trying to eat my lunch while I seen Y/N talking to some guy and they have been talking for a minute. Literally since our falling out they have been talking. "Nothing don't worry about it" I assured. I just couldn't believe I was hung up over her like this, 6 months she's been around, we didn't even date, we just been around each other and with her being gone she honestly made me feel down.

I looked at her and how she was dressed and she looked good even for it being a chill fit.

Her hair was down her back silky straight with some ear tucked behind her ear.

Her industrial piercing along with her three regular ear piercings showed clearly. I secure her her up from the table as walked off with the guy. "I'll see you later Imma go see coach" I said to Layla. "You want me to go with you?" She questioned. "No. In fact" I started off "there's no us. And I don't think they'll ever be another shot at us" I admitted before leaving the table and leaving her there.

I threw my finished food trying to catch Y/N before she disappeared. "Y/N" I called out as she was at her locker talking to the same guy. He then made her laugh as we shared a wick glimpse before she smiled back at the guy. I just walked passed them going to coaches office. I knocked on the door as he locked up from his phone then came to get the door.

"What's up? What's wrong?" He asked "have you spoken to

Y/N?" I started off as he sighed and let me into the office before closing the door behind me. "Lately you haven't been yourself Spence. What's been going on?" He asked as I just looked away. "Is it about thanksgiving night?" He asked as I looked at him. "How do you know about thanksgiving?" I asked.

"Come on man, your girl came to dinner the way she was trying to one up on Y/N. I might've been talking but I definitely knew something was going on with all of the kids" he said as I just shook my head. I then reached for a hug from coach as he immediately hugged me back.

"Son, Whatever it is, it is going to be okay" he assured as I just simply nodded. We stood there for a moment hugging as there was a knock on the door and we let go of each other. I then turned seeing Y/N as she had papers in her hands. She looked at me then looked at Coach "these are for you and Coach Nala said she's clearing us to dance for the Christmas assembly tomorrow" she said handing the papers to him as I watched her then looked down.

"I wanted to ask you something but never mind now" She said to Coach. "You sure?" He sure looking through the papers. "Yeah" Y/N assured about to turn around "are you trying out for captains position?" Coach asked as she back around. "No I'm good where I'm at and I don't think it's fair for me to try out for captains position" She expressed. "You know there's a difference between favoritism and pushing a person who passionate about what they do to the next level" he explained looking up at Y/N.

"Like I tell liv, Jordan and Spencer I'm going to push you because there is too much talent and potential behind all of you guys" he expressed. She just looked down at her feet then looked at coach. "Okay" she answered "alright, love you" he said to her as she headed towards the door "love you too" She said walking out.

"Here" Coach said handing me a pass back to class as I thanked him and started getting back to class. I seen Y/N at her locker on the phone as the hall was cleared. I started walking towards her to try and talk to her. "No him and I don't talk anymore" she started off. "I'll tell you later when you land" She said as I stood next to her and she finally looked at me.

"Hold on I'll call you back" She started off as she looked away. "How you been?" She simply asked continuing to get her things out of her locker. "I'm all good, except for the fact you've been avoiding me these past couple of weeks" I expressed looking over at her.

"I haven't been avoiding you, i talked to you about the project, and I talk to you like how I talk to most of these people at this school" She said before closing her locker. "I'll see you after school" She simply said. "Nah let's leave now, so we can get it done. we already finished our final exams for the rest of our classes." I explained.

"I'm not skipping for you" She simply said "really? Because you sat there and skipped with the guy you've been hanging around with a couple of times" I started off as she looked at me " I seen you Y/N" I added as she just sucked her teeth. "You right let's hurry up and finish this project so I now really don't have to deal with you" She simply said walking past me as I chuckled to myself and we left out the school.

The walk was about five minutes from the school and I looked at my phone reading twelve-fifteen. She unlocked the door as we walked in and I closed the door behind me. "Your mother went all out for Christmas" I brought up looking around.

Y/N just ignored me taking her plaid button down shirt off before kicking her shoes off.  She was now just left in a crop top and a pair of leggings. I watched as she placed her hair in a ponytail and turned on some music.

"So you're just going to ignore me the whole time?" I questioned. "There's nothing to talk about" She said washing her hands as I took my jacket off leaving me in a hoodie. I placed my book bag and jacket down on the couch before walking into the kitchen. I washed my hands as Y/N went inside the fridge.

She took the eggs out along with the milk placing it on the island as I sat the plastic bag on the counter "vanilla or chocolate?" I asked as she just shrugged some. "I'm not doing this the whole time. we're going to have to talk and figure it out or something" I expressed as she just bit the inside of her cheek and just took the vanilla batter out of my hand before pouring into the bowl.

I poured how much milk she needed into the measuring cup while she was cracking the eggs open. "I Care 4 U" started to come on as she skipped the song immediately. She took the measuring cup and poured the milk into the bowl then grabbed the mixer placing it in the bowl then turned it on.

I buttered the two pans so the cakes wouldn't stick to the pans.

Soon Y/N turned the mixer off beginning to scrape the cake mix into the two pans. I grabbed her phone changing the song back to "I Care 4 U" as she just took a breath and I took the pans from her hands placing them into the oven. I turned and leaned on the island looking over at her. "I miss you" I admitted.

"I miss you too" she admitted but didn't look at me. "Look at me" I said as she finally looked at me. I was going in to kiss her but she moved away. I stood up fully, grabbing her hand as she turned around. "I'm trying with you and you're just pushing me away" I said bringing her close to me.

"If I was running game on you I wouldn't be leaving you hella text messages, or voicemails" I started off as she tried to pull her hand away but I continued to hold it. "I cried when you walked away" I admitted as a tear fell from her eyes. "You're like a best friend to me and I'm sorry if I hurt you but everything that happened was a misunderstanding" I honestly said as she wiped her tears away.

"Spencer she's not having none of that" Y/N said referring to Layla. "I don't care about what she's not having, so everyone gets to go off and live their happy ending and then there's us." I brought up. "Maybe there's no happy ending with each other, maybe this is just something that just happened. A regular high school crush" she explained as I looked at her. "No Layla was a high school crush, Cam was a high school crush for you"  I said as she wiped her tears away.

"Spencer why do you keep trying?!" She asked "because when it's all said and done you can't say that I didn't fight for you and for us or I didn't care for you!" I expressed as she looked down. "I'm not saying right now we're getting together because I want to give us time but I want to know when you're ready that you'll be my girlfriend" I explained as she faintly smiled and I wiped her tears away.

We just hugged each other and stood there holding each other. I felt her kiss my cheek as we slowly pulled away and I kissed her lips.
