Chapter 111
Reborn of Kate by Isla Rainfield
Chapter 111 Who Are You?
At Lullaby Cafe.
Though it was a popular music restaurant and often fully booked, Eric was not just anyone.
As the president of Davison Group, he had Lucas purchase the cafe on the way there.
Now, Kate owns this music restaurant.
Eric also had Lucas arrange for them to have the best private room with the best view.
The beautiful sound of a piano welcomed Kate upon her arrival. The restaurantâs decor was elegant and exuded a sense of understated luxury, even more impressive than in photos and videos.
Kate couldnât help but marvel. She said, âThe view here is amazing.
Eric secretly glanced at Kate without saying a word.
A waiter quickly led them to a private room on the third floor. The room was exquisitely decorated and offered a stunning view of the river.
After ordering, Kate immediately felt at home.
Since then, she has taken up drawing again. Every time she saw the beautiful scene, it seemed to spark her with endless inspiration.
After a momentâs hesitation, Kate took out her sketchbook and pencil from her bag and began drawing carnestly.
Ericâs eyes held a touch of helplessness, but he didnât interrupt Kateâs flow. Instead, he sat quietly across from her, watching her work.
Kate was fully immersed in her drawing and completely focused on her work.
Eric had just sat down for a moment when his phone started vibrating.
His eyes sharpened. Not wanting to disturb Kate, he stood up and walked out of the private room. After putting some distance between himself and the room, he answered the call. As he listened to the person on the other end, his expression grew even colder.
Meanwhile, a group of people who had just finished their meal passed by Kateâs room.
âHey, doesnât that look like Kate in there?â
A woman with long, wavy hair glanced into the room and noticed Kate engrossed in her drawing. Shet quickly called out to her friends.
The other women also peered in and quickly confirmed it, âYup, itâs her.â

âHey, Kate, is that really you?â
Her friend tried to stop her, but she was already inside, taking a seat right across from Kate.
âKate Lowe? Itâs been a while.â
Darlene Wagnerâs voice interrupted Kateâs concentration.
Startled by the sudden noise, Kateâs inspiration vanished instantly.
She looked up coldly at Darlene. The look in her eyes was icy as she asked, âWho are you?â
Darleneâs smile froze, and disbelief was written all over her face. She asked, âDonât you recognise me?â
Kate gave her a disdainful onceâover and said with a frown, âI donât recognise people without manners.â
Darlene hadnât expected such blunt rudeness. He stood up angrily and snapped, âKate! Donât be so harsh. Weâre classmates. I saw you alone and came over to say hi. Who are you calling rude
Kate, already irritated by the interruption, crossed her arms and gazed harshly at Darlene. She asked, Is that how you greet someone? Canât you see Iâm working?
âDoes your idea of an old classmateâs greeting have to include disrupting someoneâs creative process? Three years didnât change youâstill as rude and hypocritical as ever!â
