Chapter 215 Ulterior Motive

As Eric’s voice filled the room, Kate couldn’t help but smile, whispering, “Wasn’t trying to hide it from Ric, really. When I thought about kicking off my own studio, these old design sketches. popped into my head. It seemed like a waste not to use them, right? They were mine from four years ago, after all.”

Later, she remembered she had thrown those designs up on some obscure website, never in a million years thinking anyone would remember her stuff after all this time, much less continue to be a fan of Warm!

Eric looked slightly serious as he genuinely said, “Kate’s got some serious skills.”

But before he could add anything, his phone buzzed with an alert about a new tweet blowing up.

“Huh? Kate, the shady designer, is about to launch her studio?“”

Eric’s expression darkened with frustration as he opened the post, his annoyance growing as he

read it.

“What’s this all about? Kate caught up in bullying on campus?”

“I would’ve never guessed Kate could do something like that. Turns out she’s been involved in some bullying stuff!”

“So, she’s mixed up in bullying? That’s hard to believe. And now, everyone’s painting her as a rich, mean girl. That look she’s got in the fight? Definitely not her best moment.”

“Kate’s got a shady side? News to me. Is this what happens when you have money? It’s absurd that people think money means I can’t mess up.

“This is just rich kid syndrome to the max! Kate should have just laid low and lived her cosy life. Why’d she have to go and make a scene?”

“And I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s big money behind Warm’s account too. Remember, Kate’s Honey is under Eric from the Davison Group!”

“Yep, she’s got Davison and the Lowe Group in her corner!”

The negative comments kept coming, and Eric, boiling with frustration, clicked on the video.

The video seemed to be filmed in a bathroom.

Kate’s face was cold and filled with disgust as she slapped a girl’s face without hesitation. The girl covered her face and cried, but it didn’t stop there. Kate casually grabbed a bucket and dumped it over the girl’s head.

“Ms. Kate, I’m sorry! I know I messed up, so please don’t hit me again. Please forgive me!”

The girl curled up on the floor, shaking and begging for mercy, her clothes soaked.

The video ended with a freeze–frame of Kate looking down with a hostile and disdainful expression.

The video was short and clearly edited, missing the beginning and end, only showing Kate hitting the girl and the girl pleading for mercy.

Eric’s expression darkened with frustration as he opened the post, his annoyance growing as he

read it.

Eric’s eyes narrowed as he caught sight of the fuzzy timestamp at the bottom right of the video. Checking it quickly, he turned to Kate and casually mentioned, “Hey Kate, I’m kind of hungry. Maybe you should head on back first?”

On the other side, Kate was caught off guard. She had plans to sort out inventory and tidy up at HN Studio. But hearing Eric’s casual suggestion, she promptly answered, “Okay, heading back

now.”

After quickly finishing up her work, Kate grabbed her purse and hopped into her car, driving off towards Summer Estate.

Meanwhile, Eric’s phone was still on, but Kate wasn’t waiting for any tweets. Her mind was set on one thing: Eric was hungry, and she was all set to cook something tasty for him.
