The end of todayâs matches was finally in sight.
Only one match remained.
The fifth roundâalso known as the quarterfinals.
We were on the brink of the dayâs final battles, which would determine the ultimate victors from Groups A through D.
I sighed deeply while snacking on the Vienna sausages Kris was feeding me one by one.
âThis is such a grueling schedule.â
âWell, tomorrow, you just have the semifinals and finals during peak time, right?â@@novelbin@@
âThe crowdâs going to be even biggerâ¦.â
Even today, there were plenty of people roaming around the event area. But tomorrow was the main event of the tournament, featuring the semifinals and finals. All eyes would be on us.
Taking advantage of a short break, Kris and I finished an early dinner and headed to check out the quarterfinal bracket on the main stage.
[Group A â Gyuham Jo Hyunsu vs. Deathâs Shadow]
[Group B â Rain vs. Faisal]
[Group C â Nagi vs. Eddie]
[Group D â Skada vs. Woori-Gyeolhonhaesseoyo]
Looking at the lineup of nicknames on the quarterfinal bracket, I nodded.
As expected, everyone who made it this far was predictable. While I didnât know much about the overseas server players like Faisal, my opponent, or Eddie, Nagiâs opponent, their presence here wasnât surprising.
Kris examined the names on the bracket and let out an impressed whistle.
