At the very last moment before her Flame Barrier expired, Skada used her carefully reserved Backward Evasion. With this, she managed to momentarily escape from Rain’s range of attack.

But Rain didn’t give her a moment’s respite. As soon as she noticed the increased distance, Rain’s sword began to shimmer with starlight, and a ferocious wave of sword energy hurtled toward Skada.
