It was almost eleven o’clock when Joshua arrived. He was still wearing the same outfit as bellore, and

his heavy breathing indicated that he had rushed to get there.

His obsidian eyes were filled with worry.

When he saw Cynthia, he subtly frowned but walked over to Jayleen.

Jayleen, Joshua said.

was your brother. I thought he was someone Cynthia was seeing behind your back,” Jayleen spoke

slowly and with a heavy heart.

Jayleen spoke each word carefully, her eyes slightly red. It was hard not to feel sorry for her. Anyone

was lying.

“I called her out and told her I would tell you about her affair. Then she had Moses drive the car and hit

me.” Jayleen added.

“You’re really wasting your talent by not being in movies.” Cynthia retorted.

Jayleen did not say anything and just looked at Cynthia.

*Since you said Moses and I were being intimate in the car, why don’t you tell me what we did? What

exactly did we do, and where did we do it?” Cynthia spoke coldly, still seated.

“Cynthia…” Jayleen’s face reddened, looking ashamed. “Joshua, I can’t say it…”

Upon hearing this, Joshua’s expression turned cold, losing all warmth instantly.

Then, he stared at Cynthia and asked, “What did you guys do?”

“You should ask her. Why are you asking me?” Cynthia showed no respect for Joshua. “Have you

trusted anything I say?”

Joshua was rendered speechless.
