Joshua could not help but stare at Cynthia’s increasingly red lips as she rubbed them, and he felt his

mouth go dry. After hearing her words, he walked over and looked at her from above.

His voice was low and husky as he asked, “What did you say?”

“I said…” Cynthia started to reply, but Joshua interrupted her.

“Mm.”

Joshua’s hand was behind her head, while the other arm was wrapped around her waist, his

movements gentle yet provocative.

Cynthia was no match for him when it came to situations like this. Whenever he kissed her, she would

inevitably fall for him, eventually surrendering to his advances.

A cool and restrained person like him would become a bewitching devil that one could not resist once

lost in desire, and it was a temptation that could not be ignored.

“Joshua” Cynthia used all her strength to push him away.

Cynthia blushed and glared at him. “How many times do I have to tell you, don’t kiss me with the

mouth. you’ve used to kiss Jayleen! I’m afraid of getting infected with helicobacter pylori!”

Joshua was no longer angry but amused.

He could not believe she had come up with that.

“I’ve only kissed you,” Joshua said. He had a dignified and indifferent demeanor, but his disheveled

clothes betrayed his repressed desire. “If you’re worried about the infection, you already had it when

we got married.”

“Get lost!” Cynthia cursed at him.

Joshua looked at her slightly red face and suddenly felt good. “Do you want to get checked? I’ll pay.”

Cynthia did not say anything.

She really wanted this annoying man to disappear.

“No need.” Cynthia wiped her mouth again and headed toward the stairs, glaring at him before going

upstairs.

As she watched Cynthia’s angry figure disappear, Joshua unconsciously smiled.

He did not even understand why Cynthia could easily stir up his most primal desires.

This feeling only appeared when he was with Cynthia.

Cynthia went upstairs feeling agitated. However, she calmed herself down before opening the door to

the room to avoid waking up Ellora.

To her surprise, the light inside the room was on.

“What’s wrong?” Ellora asked, noticing Cynthia’s unusual mood. “Who made you angry?”

“No one,”

Cynthia replied. She was usually calm and rational in front of others, but she could not help getting

angry whenever she was around Joshua. “Why are you up? Did I wake you up?”

“No.” Ellora answered briefly before asking. “Joshua is your soon–to–be ex–husband, right?”

“Yes,” Cynthia confirmed.

“Who’s his lover?”

“Jayleen Shaw.”

“I haven’t heard of her before.” Ellora was puzzled, but she quickly moved on to the next question. “Are

you really willing to divorce Joshua? He’s the dream husband of many women! He’s handsome, rich,

and has a great figure.”

Although Ellora worked in the entertainment industry, she did not keep up with every trending topic.

Hence, she did not know about the incident that made Jayleen trending a while ago.

“He’s quite good–looking. Unfortunately, he’s a scumbag.” Cynthia appreciated good looks and would

not discredit Joshua’s appearance.
