Chapter 165
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 165
However, some things would always come at a price.
Chyler was not easy to negotiate with. Once he made up his mind, even if it meant pushing you into a
desperate situation, he would achieve his own goals.
Just as Ellora had locked her phone screen, she saw a call from her agent.
The moment the call connected, an urgent voice sounded.
âOh, my G od! How did you offend Mr. Young? He has suspended all your resources.â The agentâs
voice was loud, mixed with anxiety.
Ellora froze. She did not say much but just replied, âWe had a fallout.â
âAre you dumb? You finally climbed to the B-list through a villain character. Then, you told me youâre
pregnant and need to take a year off.â The agent had a touch of frustration in her voice.
âI agreed to that too. Even if youâre not on set, we can still work on your marketing. But now that youâve
offended Mr. Young, he has cut off all your resources. What are you going to do?â the agent spoke very
seriously.
If Ellora could not keep up with the marketing, her popularity would quickly be replaced by other
dramas and other actors. By then, forget about being a B-list actress, it would be hard for her even to
step foot in the scene.
Ellora understood all these reasons.
She remained silent for a while and replied, âThen Iâll start from scratch.â
âEllora!â The agent had never seen someone so stubborn. She was in a good spot, so why would she
offend the man?
âItâs not a big deal. I have acting skills and looks. Voice, stage, and appearance, Iâm good in every
aspect. As long as I work hard, it will always work out.â Ellora was still confident in her professional
abilities.
There was no response from the agentâs end.
Ellora wanted to say a few more comforting words, but the agent interrupted, âBeing blacklisted by Mr.
Young means you have no good resources left.â
Elloraâs heart ski pped a beat, and her grip on the phone tightened slightly.
âBy then, the only scripts that will come knocking on your door will be those poorly crafted ones. What
does it matter if your acting skills are good? Are you willing to spend your whole life acting in
meaningless plays?â the agent spoke the harshest reality.
Ellora was not willing to do that.
Perhaps many would not believe it, but her dream was to be a performing artist.
âIâve already told you what needs to be said. Itâs up to you now.â The agent truly had Elloraâs career in
mind.
The call ended.
Ellora sat there in a daze, her mind contemplating this matter.
Returning to Chylerâs side was impossible; she would not joke about her own child.
However, her careerâ¦.
Chap 165
Offending Chyler meant she would be even lower than a newcomer actor. At least newcomers had at
chance of being nurtured by directors if they had good acting skills, but if Chyler blacklisted her, no one
would dare to use her.
Thinking about all this made her feel even heavier.
Thud.
A glass of hot water was placed on the coffee table before her.
Cynthia had a gentle demeanor as she said, âHave a cup of hot water.â
âOkay.â Ellora did not want to worry her, so she smiled sweetly and drank it.
After finishing, afraid that Cynthia would notice something strange, she began to chat with Cynthia, her
eyes shining brightly.
âHow did I not know that you were so capable before?â
âThere was no need to intervene in the past,â Cynthia answered.
Ellora praised, âMy best friend is really cool!â
âIâll support you,â Cynthia suddenly said.
Ellora could not understand at first, and her eyes filled with confusion. âHuh?â
âDonât worry about what your agent said.â Cynthia had heard their conversation as she had been
standing.
in front of her with the glass of hot water for a long time, but Ellora did not notice her.
Upon hearing this, Ellora paused for a moment, then smiled. âShe was just joking. Chyler canât interfere
with my career.â
