Chapter 201
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 201
Cynthia caught onto her words and asked, âThat person?â
Jayleen froze, realizing she had slipped up. After careful consideration, she knew that the mission had
already failed. Whether
he was captured or managed to escape, she would ultimately end up in that personâs hands
Telling Cynthia the truth or keeping it a secret made little difference.
âIf I tell you, can you help me protect my family? Theyâre just ordinary people.â Jayleen raised one final
condition.
âTell me about it first.â Cynthia did not immediately agree.
Jayleen did not know what was happening, but her heart suddenly calmed down upon hearing
Cynthiaâs response. Then, she looked at Cynthia and said, âGo ahead and ask me anything. Thereâs
too much going on, and I donât know where to start.â
âThat person had you kidnap me?â
Mmhmm.â
âWhy?â
âHe wanted me to film a video of you being sexually assaulted, so he could use it to threaten you into
doing things for him,â Jayleen explained.
Cynthia did not say much but just continued asking, âIs that person man or a woman? What did they
want me to do?â
âA man. He wanted you to continue staying by Joshuaâs side and following his orders and instructions.
Coming back here was also his idea.â Jayleen felt relieved after saying that.
âHe wanted you to marry Joshua?â
âMmhmm.
âYou actually listened to him?â
âI had no choice but to listen. He has control over everything in my life. My life, my everything, is
decided by him.â Jayleen forced a bitter smile.
Cynthia was baffled,
Was this a society governed by the rule of law?
Jayleen took out her phone, opened the photo album, and handed a picture to Cynthia.
âThis is my grandmother and my younger brother. Theyâre currently being taken care of by someone
that person hired. Iâve always been obedient, and that person also made sure my Grandma and brother
were well taken care of,â Jayleen said slowly after Cynthia looked at it.
âGrandma has Alzheimerâs, and my brother is currently in high school. My parents have passed away.â
Jayleen felt a great deal of pressure. âI havenât been home in two years. Itâs always just phone calls,
video chats. Grandma and Grandpa also think that person at home is the nanny I hired.â
Cynthia frowned.
Jayleen thought about the past and spoke with emotion, âWhen I was dating Joshua, Grandina was
seriously ill. I hadnât started my career and had no money. I hinted at him to support me, but I donât
know if he didnât understand or didnât want to support me. After waiting for half a year and getting
nothing, I left.
âYou can directly talk to him about your situation. Heâll help,â Cynthia saki calmly.
âAt that time, I was young and hadnât experienced the cruelty of society. I felt ashamed to ask for
money. Plus, I did want him to support me,â Jayleen bluntly said.
Jayleen tightened her grip as she spoke, âJust two days after brealding up with him, that person
approached me and sald

could earn fast money if I helped him with something. I went, but what awaited me was bell.â
âDoes that person have a grudge against Joshua?â Cynthia asked, connecting the previous events.
Jayleen was slightly surprised. âHow do you know?â
âHe wanted you to marry Joshua to steal the business secrets of the Neal Group, Cynthia continued to
analyze.
If the intention was to get rid of Joshua, there was no need for such a roundabout approach.
Jayleen was horrified.
She truly did not understand how Cynthia knew about this.
âYouâ¦
âI wonât report this incident to the police.â Cynthia had no intention of discussing it further. She added,
âBut if it happens again, I wonât be so forgiving
âThank you.â Jayleen felt a sense of relief in her heart.
Jayleen knew.
