Chapter 264
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 264
Moses thought if Joshua had followed his plan step by step without adding his own drama, he might
have left a good impression on Cynthia by now.
Tsk. How foolish.
Old Man Neal listened, confused. âWhat do you mean by persisting?â
âHeâs pressuring Cynthia to reconcile with him, and now he has locked her in his house. If he continues
like this, Cynthia will eventually have a falling out with him,â Moses replied, mentioning the
consequences.
Old Man Neal frowned
A falling out?
No way!
âGrandpa, do you want Cynthia to come back?â Moses quickly changed the topic.
Old Man Neal gave him a look, making his thoughts evident
Of course, he wanted it! He thought about it every day,
âIf you want her back, letâs throw some obstacles in Joshuaâs path so that he doesnât have time to
disturb Cynthia,â Moses suggested, playing with his phone as ideas formed in his mind.
Old Man Neal readily agreed.
He wanted Cynthia to return, but more importantly, he wanted her to be happy.
With Old Man Nealâs decision, it would not be long before Joshua was forced to visit Old Man Nealâs
friends in Nexuria.
After the visit, it was inevitable that those old men would take an interest in him, and they would want to
introduce him to
potential partners.
Joshua had no idea what he was about to face.
He stayed in his room for quite a while, and there was a brand new set of womenâs pajamas and
undergarments in the bag on
the bed.
He wanted to take them out and give them to Cynthia, but he could not shake the image of her
rejecting him.
Just the thought of it froze him in place.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door.
With only Joshua and Cynthia in the whole house, there was no need to wonder who was at the door.
He walked over and opened the door, and when he saw Cynthia still wearing that indifferent and distant
expression, he acted particularly cold.
âWhat is it?â
âI want to go home. Open the door,â Cynthia straightforwardly stated.
She had just tried before but failed.
Joshua clenched his fists, and his tone became colder than usual. âYou really donât want to stay with
me?â
Cynthia raised an eyebrow.
Did she even need to answer?
âNo divorced wife wants to stay with her ex-husband,â she replied matter-of-factly.
âAre you trying to provale me?â Joshua did not like hearing the terms âex-husbandâ and âex-wifeâ.

âIâm just stating a fact,â Cynthia suddenly spalare up Then, looking at the anger in his eyes, she asked,
âDo you really want to remarry me?â
The sudden change in topic caught Joshua off guard as if someone had pressed the pause button on
him.
His deep, bottomless black eyes locked onto Cynthia as if he did not understand what she meant.
âWhy arenât you saying anything?â Cynthia asked again
Though Joshua did not know what she was up to, he still answered, âYes.â
âOkay, as long as you can beat me in three things, Iâll consider remarrying you. But until the outcome is
determined, you canât disturb me or my family,â Cynthia said, using the word âconsider Instead of
directly agreeing.
âWhat are these three things?â Joshua did not directly agree.
With the newfound understanding of her over the past month, he would not be so hasty to agree.
