“Grandpa, there’s an urgent matter with Kendrick, and I have to rush over. I’ll accompany you next

time,” Cynthia explained

the situation.

“Do you want me to send someone to take you there?

“No need. I can handle it. You should get some rest.”

After saying that, Cynthia quickly headed toward Joshua’s location.

Cynthia remembered that Kendrick would always accurately control his alcohol intake, so how did he

end up so thoroughly drunk this time?

At Joshua’s place, the scene could be described as chaotic.

Thinking of himself as a superhero, Kendrick believed Joshua had ulterior motives and started dueling

with him after ending

the call.

Joshua did not actually fight back against a drunkard, especially one who was Cynthia’s cousin, for fear

that he accidentally exerted too much force and ended up fracturing Kendrick’s bones. If that were to

happen, it would only create more distance between him and Cynthia

After all, Kendrick, in his drunken state, could not feel pain.

Amidst the commotion, Joshua looked at the living room, which resembled a ransacked home, and the

building frustration made it difficult to hold back

“Kendrick, if you keep causing trouble like this, the residents downstairs will complain.”

Kendrick stopped his actions but quickly replied, “What do I care? If I don’t knock you, Cynthia’s ex–

husband, down today, I’ll only let her down.”

That statement became the beginning of a fight.

Originally, Joshua thought he would let Kendrick male a scene and, at most, confine him to a room to

prevent further chaos. However, he underestimated this ‘superhero‘.

Whether it was ignoring or trying to stop him, Kendrick was as ignorant as a husky on the loose.

In the blink of an eye, over an hour had passed. Joshua watched the person bouncing on his bed,

feeling a chill all over.

“It seems you’re not the mysterious person who stands side by side with Cyn. Watch how I’ll teach you

a lesson,” Kendrick blurted out, standing on Joshua’s bed and glaring at him.

Joshua was exasperated. He had intended to call Cynthia and ask where she was, but he remembered

that his phone had been smashed to pieces by Kendrick

Kendrick clenched his fists and charged toward Joshua with an imposing aura. However, after taking

just one step, he stumbled and fell onto the bed, unconscious.

Observing the situation, Joshua decisively pulled the blanket over Kendrick, wrapping him up, and then

tied a knot around it.

With only his head sticking out for breathing, Kendrick panicked when he realizes he could not move

“Joshua, if you dare touch me, we won’t let you off.”

“I’ll be waiting for them,” Joshua replied coldly, radiating a chilling aura.

To maintain peace and quiet, he found a towel and stuffed it into Kendrick’s mouth.

“Men, men, mmm!” Kendrick struggled forcefully, unable to move or make a sound.

“You stay put here for now.” Joshua finally found a rope and firmly secured the bundled blanket. “When

Cynthia arrives, you’ll be free.”

“Mmm, mmm, mmm!” Kendrick appeared anxious.

Joshua turned and walked away, intending to use a tablet to message Yoel and have him prepare a

phone for him.

Kendrick continued to struggle, wanting to roll off the bed and onto the floor. Thankfully, he could not

feel any pain due to

his drunken state.
