unsafe for a young woman to be alone late at night.

Cynthia did not think much of it and assumed he needed Yoel to buy him a new phone.

the house, he momentarily paused upon seeing Cynthia there too and exclaimed, “Ms. Yates?”

“Cynthia is here to pick up Mr. Yates. Could you help me take them back?” Joshua said gently,

explaining the situation to Yoel.

Yoel quickly caught on and replied, “Of course, Mr. Neal”

Cynthia wanted to refuse, but neither Joshua nor Yoel gave her the opportunity, Yoel placed Kendrick in

the backseat, and Cynthia got in as well. As the car started, she watched Joshua standing there,

seeing them off. Cynthia’s rationality gradually returned.

She glanced at Yoel and casually asked, “Why is Ken at Joshua’s place?”

Yorl was surprised. Then, his gaze shifted, and he noticed a broken phone on the table.
