For Cynthia, choosing to start a new relationship meant she had let go of the past.

Whatever complications arose in that previous relationship or whatever reasons she was unaware of,

they were all in the past, and there was no need to bring up and rewrite what had already been

Betraying the current partner for the ex’s sake would be the most foolish and irresponsible behavior.

Joshua did not believe Cynthia could be so indifferent. “You can say that because the situation didn’t

If Cynthia were to tell Joshua that he was her first love, he would either imagine that she had not gotten

over him or think she was lying

Either way, it would be meaningless.

Cynthia did not want to waste any more time with Joshua and used Old Man Neal as an excuse.

“The dinner is about to start, and if you keep wasting your time with me here, we’ll delay Old Man

Neal’s birthday celebration.

“I won’t let you get involved with Ian,” Joshua said before leaving, wondering if Cynthia had any interest

In the past, he would have been certain that she did not. However, she never showed interest in people

she did not know, yet she took out her phone today.

After he left, Cynthia leaned against the wall to regain her composure.

A person should not base their decision to marry someone solely on looks unless they are obsessed

with appearances,

She wondered if it was possible to change being obsessed with appearances.

She was genuinely afraid that she might encounter an even bigger challenge after surviving this

situation

With these thoughts in mind, Cynthia took out her phone and hesitated for a moment before making a

phone call.

There was something she needed someone’s help to decide.

“Cyn?” Mitchell’s gentle voice came through

Cynthia slowly gained her rationality and calmed down.”I have something I want you to help me decide.

Should I continue if someone wants to use my relationship with Joshua against him?”

Mitchell could tell from her words that something must have happened. “Do you have any concerns?”

“I don’t want to be too involved with Joshua. After we return, I want Ken to stop collaborating with the

Neal Group.” Cynthia was straightforward with Mitchell.

As for what happened before, she did not care anymore.

Mitchell pushed his glasses up and shifted lals gaze from the work documents. “Handle the

collaboration as you see fit. As for that person, you can continue working with the

“I can’t work with him.” Cynthia thought about how much she disliked him and wanted to stay away.

Mitchell helped her calm down and assured her, “You’re Cynthia Yates, and there’s nothing you can’t

do.”

If it were any other matter, he would have told her it was okay not to cooperate if she did not want to.

However, he knew how much Cynthia wanted to catch this person and get revenge for what happened

to their entire team. If he told her not to cooperate and to come up with another plan, she would regret

it later.

Mitchell understood what Cynthia wanted, so naturally, he would help her make this decision when she

needed assurance and

direction.

Cynthia had completely calmed down. “Alright.”

“Did you know I have something to tell you?” Mitchell guessed.

“Yeah,” Cynthia replied.
