[Because of your agreement with him, he has not contacted me or come to see me, but now I really

need him.]

Cynthia looked at the message from the new number, and the light in her eyes became brighter.

The mistress was telling the actual wife that she really needed her husband.

This was just ridiculous.

[You don’t want to see two people dead, do you?]

[Mrs. Neal, I’m pregnant with Joshua’s child!]

Jayleen bombarded her with multiple messages, each bringing bigger news than before.

Especially the last message when she said she was pregnant with Joshua’s child.

Cynthia was not in the mood to entertain Jayleen, but the woman was simply too shameless.

Cynthia replied, [Jayleen, do you think that having the child of a married man is something to be proud

of?]

Cynthia added, [If you bother me again, I don’t mind exposing your affair online.]

As soon as she sent that, Jayleen stopped responding.

Despite Joshua being a scumbag, he always kept his promises. Hence, Cynthia decided to wait and

see. Besides, it was impossible for Jayleen to get pregnant in less than a month since she returned.

Thinking about all this, Cynthia took a screenshot of Jayleen’s messages and posted it on her social

media.

She attached the screenshot and captioned, [What an experience.]

Shortly after, people started commenting.

[Little Jerry: What the hell! She’s so shameless.]

[Mitchell: Seriously…]

[Shirley: Is this his ex–lover?]

Cynthia panicked, realizing she had forgotten to block her family from seeing the post.

[Mr. Neal Senior: @Joshua, look at the mess you’ve made! Your mistress is flaunting herself at

Cynthia!]

Joshua had just finished dealing with some paperwork when he heard the notification on his phone. He

frowned slightly as he picked up his phone to check Cynthia’s social media post. Almost instantly, he

called her.

Cynthia was not sure she wanted to answer, but she decided to anyway at the thought of Jayleen.

“Hello?”

“What does your post mean?” Joshua’s tone had a hint of annoyance.

A child? He had not slept with anyone else.

Cynthia laughed and replied, “Are you seriously asking me?”

“Explain it to me.”

“This was sent to me by your ex–lover.” Cynthia did not hide anything. Instead, she wanted to see how

he would explain it. “I’m curious to know how this child came about.”

“I don’t know.”

“Oh.”

“Send me your address, and I’ll come over and contact her with your phone to find out what’s going

on.” Joshua wanted to get to the bottom of this. “I’ll give you a satisfactory explanation.”

Cynthia sent him the address of a cafe.

Joshua had planned to hang up and head over to the cafe, but his mother called and scolded him. He

could not talk back and just let her vent.

Toward the end of the call, she asked, “Who sent the message to Cynthia? Did you divorce Cynthia to

be with this woman?”

“I have some things to talk to Cynthia about. I’ll tell you when I get back,” Joshua changed the subject

and did not answer her question right away.

He knew that if his mother learned about this, she would be furious. After all, she loved Cynthia as if

she were her own daughter.

“You better handle this well.”

Mrs. Neal Senior was angry, and she really disliked the person who sent the message to Cynthia.

“If you’re divorcing Cynthia to marry this woman, I won’t accept her.”
