Chapter 478
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 478
Felix understood everything just by looking at Joshuaâs expression. He patted his shoulder and said,
âYour morn is very worried about you. She sensed that you were unhappy from the moment you came
barkâ
After all, a mother would know her child hest.
No matter how well you disguised it, parents could see through all your pretenses.
âIâm fine,â Joshua said..
Felix asked, âDoesnât it hurt?
âThe pain 1 teel is nothing compared to the grievances Cynthia endured in the pest.â Joshua looked
into the distance. The city was enveloped in darkness, and even though the city lights were bright, only
the sun could truly illuminate the sky
Similarly, only Cynthia could dispel the dariness in his heart.
Having heard his response, Felix did not say anything more. As their children get older, there were
certain things they had to handle on their own, and they had to bear the consequences themselves.
That night, the city was aglow with countless lights, but Joshua lying in bed felt cold.
He forced himself to sleep, but sleep eluded him
This state persisted for three whole days. On the third day, Joshua fell ill because he had not slept for
three consecutive nights. If Yoel had not noticed in time, it could have led to serious complications from
the high fever.
Yoel rushed around the hospital, busy with payments, getting medication, and more.
After a day of receiving IV drips, Joshua finally woke up in the twilight,
Yoel breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Joshua open his eyes.
He was extremely worried and said, âMr. Neal, youâre finally awake. You scared me.
Joshua looked at the white ceiling and then glanced around. When he saw the IV drip still in place, he
frowned âWhat happened?â
âYou had a high fever of 40 degrees, which lasted for over four hours! The doctor said if the fever had
lasted a bit longer, it could have caused or gan and nervous system damage Yoel was still frightened.
He had been sweating profusely.
Joshua seemed indifferent and only asked, âYou didnât tell my parents, did you?â
âNo.â Yoel knew what Joshua was thinking. âYou really canât mistreat your body like this in the future. If
something really happened, I wouldnât know how to explain it to your family.â
Joshua breathed a sigh of relief. The day after his birthday, he sent his parents to the airport and
watched them leave. If they knew he was hospitalized, they would undoubtedly worry.
âOh, by the way,â Yoel suddenly spoke up.
Joshuaâs lips and face were still somewhat pale, and the fever had not completely subsided. âWhat is
it?â
Yoel hesitated.
âJust say it.â Joshua felt uncomfortable all over, disliking the feeling of being sick.
âMs. Yates called you this afternoon. I heard the phone ringing when I went to pick up the medication.â
Ynel worned that Joshua might be emotional because of this.
Joshuaâs eyes seemed to brighten. In a low and hoa rse voice, he ordered, âGive me the phone.â
âYou need to rest now.â
Chapter 478
âGive it to me.â
Seeing his stubbornness, Yoel could not argue with him and reluctantly handed him the phone.
Joshua unlocked the phone and dialed Cynthiaâs number. To prevent her from suspecting anything, he
deliberately adjusted
his tone
After a few rings, Cynthia answered the call.
âWhat did you call me for this afternoon? I was in a meeting and didnât hear it,â Joshua asked, and his
tone did not show much difference from usual
âJayleen told me that theyâve started to take action. If nothing goes wrong, theyâll come to kidnap me
tonight, Cynthia told
hum
Joshua immediately sat up from the bed, causing the IV needle to backlow.
