Chapter 503
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 503
âMs. Yates, are you satisfied with your current situation? Yerick asked, donning a long camelâcolored
coat and carrying a pink suitcase. Cynthiaâs eyes rested on the luggage. She suspected that the
animosity between Yerick and Joshua might be connected to the owner of this pink suitcase.
Maintaining her composure, she continued her verbal dance with Yerick,â Possessing illegal firearms,
operating a private armed force; do you realize the number of years you could be sentenced for these
crimes?â
âI do, but what does that matter? Yerick replied casually.
A frustrated crease formed on Cynthiaâs forehead. This was not going her way.
âBoss, our guest has arrived,â one of the bodyguards announced.
Upon hearing the news, a satisfied smirk graced verickâs lips. âBring him in.
With that command, Joshua was brought forward. He was wearing a white shirt that made his
complexion appear pale. Nonetheless, his aura of cool indifference remained undiminished. As Cynthia
met his gaze, he, too, looked back. In their silent exchange, Joshua confirmed that Cynthia was
unharmed, and he proceeded to negotiate with Yerick.
Despite being the captive, he emanated a commanding presence as though he was the host. âNow that
Iâm here, you can state your objective.â
âOf course,â Yerick responded with a sly smile.
Just as Joshua was about to speak, Cynthia suddenly found the barrel of a gun pressed against her
temple. His pupils contracted as the aura around him turned icy cold. âLet her go
âI can do that,â Yerick replied, playing with a knife in his other hand. He spun it once before handing it
over. âTake this knife and slit your left wrist. Continue until your blood stains this stone red.â Yerick
motioned toward a nearby stone, marked with
a circle.
Joshua glanced at it. âIf I do this, will you let her go?
âCorrect.â Yerick nodded.
As Joshua reached for the knife, Cynthia, seemingly realizing what was about to happen, attempted to
stop him. âJoshua, donât take it!â
The pink suitcase, the demand to sit his wristâ¦
A girl! Yerick was exacting his revenge on Joshua all because of a girl.
âYerick, I know what your aim is. You are being somewhat childish in your actions, donât you think?â At
last, Cynthia saw glimmer of hope.
âIf you think my actions are childish, youâve guessed my motives incorrectly.â Yerick was convinced she
had not figured out his motives. Looking at Joshuaâs suspended hand, he issued a warning. âIâll count
to three. If you donât cut yourself by then, Cynthia might start to suffer.â
Joshua cast a glance at Cynthia. From the comer of her eye, Cynthia spotted Nadia, who had circled
back from the sea, and a daring yet risky idea sprung into her mind. She conveyed a signal to Joshua
through her eyes.
That look
It made Joshua question if he had misinterpreted Cynthiaâs intentions.
âThree.â Yerick began to count.
Cynthia continued to signal with her eyes.
At that moment, Joshua confirmed Cynthiaâs intent. He reached out to grasp the knife from Verickâs
band. The moment it was in his possession, he quickly flipped it and, in an unexpected turn of events,
held it against Yerickâs throat!
âBoss!â the bodyguards exclaimed in surprise.
