Chapter 505
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 505
If Yadier had not been arrested and had not been sentenced to death, Dani would not have been so
distraught, nor would she have taken her own life. He would not have lost his only sister. All of this was
caused by Joshua
Yerickâs thoughts became more radical as he continued, his grin never fading, âIf she hadnât spent that
night by the sea, she wouldnât have caught a fever, and she wouldnât have told me she needed to clear
her mind here.â
As he spoke, Cynthia was busy going through her me ntal archives. Dani? A boyfriend sentenced to
death? Yerick? As she tried to put the pieces together, a matching profile emerged in her mind.
Uncertain if her guess was accurate, she decided to ask him, âWas your sister Dani Gibson?â
âYou are smart indeed,â Verick confirmed, albeit indirectly. He had taken his fatherâs surname, while his
sister had taken their motherâs. After their parents passed away, Dani was his only concem. However,
Joshua had caused her death.
âThe arrest of her boyfriend was his own doing Joshua did nothing wrong by providing leads to the
police. If anyone is to blame, itâs you. What her boyfriend was doing, Iâm certain you knew,â Cynthia
voiced the harsh truth.
âYou mean I am the one to blame for her death?â Yerick retorted.
Before Cynthia or Joshua could respond, Yerick sighed. âYes, it was probably my fault.â
âSo, Iâve brought her enemy here to accompany her in death, havenât 1?â Yerick gazed at Cynthia,
maintaining his demeanor. âToday, you, me, and Joshua, weâre all going to die together to keep her
company.â He was not going to leave here
Cynthia glanced at the sea beneath them, then took a look at the surroundings. If she jumped down
from here, she would probably be shot to death before she reached the bottom. If she stayed here, she
would blow up. It was truly a dead end.
Joshuaâs dark eyes met hers as he assured her, âI wonât let anything happen to you.â
âSuch devotion. However, donât you think itâs too late? Yerick interjected, his mouth never idle,
âName what you want and let her go,â Joshua demanded. He had been here for quite some time and
had listened to enough. He understood Yerickâs intentions, Yerick had said all he wanted to say and
was likely on the verge of destroying the entire island. If that were the case, what would become of
Cynthia?
He had to stall for time, waiting for the others to arrive. The best way to do this was to divert Yerickâs
hatred unto himself. By doing so, Yerick would not suspect anything, and he could achieve his goal.
âYou want to save her?â Yerick queried.
âYes,â Joshua confirmed.
âThen plunge a knife into your own heart. If you can withstand it for ten minutes without dying, I might
consider releasing her,â Yerick suggested nonchalantly.
âI want her to be released. I need your word.â
Yerick let out a soft laugh and turned to Cynthia. âYour ex-husband is quite something. Despite having
a fever, he dares to speak to me this way. I wonder where his courage comes from â
Upon hearing this, Cynthia involuntarily glanced at Joshua, and he returned her gaze. Verick was
waiting for this exact moment. He quickly gripped Joshuaâs hand, his other elbow lunging toward him.
If he landed a hit, with Yerickâs strength, Joshua was likely to end up with a couple of broken ribs.
Bang!
