Chapter 555
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 555
Cynthia agreed, âOkay.â
Sean felt relieved. After all, Cynthia was K, and I was trustable.
âThe things he told you at the hospital were instructions he gave me beforehand. During the journey to
the hospital, he regained consciousness once and told me to relay those messages to you if his
condition worsened,â Sean explained.
Cynthia frowned.
Sean continued, âHe doesnât want you to feel guilty or blame yourself. He believes those things are his
responsibility.â
âSo, youâre saying he didnât wake up at the hospital?â Cynthia quickly concluded.
âNot only did he not wake up, but his condition was severe,â Sein revealed openly. After all, it was all in
the past. âIf it werenât for me treating him, he wouldâve been dead long ago.â
Cynthia froze, unable to express her feelings.
âIâm not particularly clear about what happened between you, but based on Joshuaâs actions after he
got injured, he truly loved you,â Sean spoke as an observer.
Sean admired Joshuaâs willpower. Despite the circumstances, he managed to wake up and
communicate so many things.
It was truly a miracle.
âWhy did he block me? Cynthia recalled this matter.
âHe was afraid you would suspect something, so he told me his phone password. He asked me to
block you when the time was right and then tell you those things,â Sean admitted.
Cynthia glanced at the closed door, feeling a mix of emotions.
Sean added, âYou donât have to worry about him pestering you after he recovers. Based on what he
told me, he wonât bother you if you donât want him to.â
Sometimes Sean felt that Joshua was quite contradictory.
He acted decisively in business matters, but in relationships, he exhibited extremes.
Either acting solely based on his own will or prioritizing the other personâs feelings-both extremes had
been demonstrated when it came to Cynthia.
âUnderstood,â Cynthia said calmly.
âSo, you willingly took him with you?â Sean asked. He was still afraid that Cynthia would think he had
tricked her. Leaving a way out and maintaining a good relationship for future encounters was important.
The future was long, and if he ever needed Cynthiaâs help and she held a grudge over being deceived,
it would be disastrous.
Cynthia nodded and followed Sean to sign some documents. Then, she left the medical facility with
Joshua.
On the way back, Joshua obediently sat in the passenger seat, remaining silent and occasionally
glancing at Cynthia. His eyes were filled with nervousness, unease, and a hint of uncertainty, just like a
five-year-old child
âHey,â lue called out.
Cynthia glanced at him and continued driving steadily. âWhatâs the matter?â
Joshua fiddled with his hands and cautiously asked, âDo you not like me?
Cynthiaâs heart sk ipped a beat. After clearing her mind of the jumbled thoughts, she replied, âWhy
would you ask that?â âI feel it.â Joshuaâs voice was gentle.
âDonât overthink it.â Cynthia did not know how to answer his question. âWhen we get home, take a
shower and get a good

nightâs sleep. Tomorrow, Iâll call your dad to come and pick you up.â
Joshua did not respond and kept his head down, feeling gloomy.
The only thought in his mind was that his sister clearly did not like him.
Cynthia was unsure how to face Joshua. His current condition resulted from saving her, and she was
responsible for taking care of him until he recovered.
