Chapter 564
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 564
Joshua really felt the pain and whimpered, âHisssdâ
âJust bear with it. Itâll be over soon,â Cynthia rubbed his head, comforting him as she would comfort any
other child.
Joshua obediently nodded. âOkay.â
The doctor was speechless.
Things were not going as he had planned!
She should be kissing his boo or mocking him for being unable to bear the pain!
How did it become an adult comforting a child with such a simple sentence?!
The doctor decided to ignore it and prescribed some medication for them.
âYou donât need to worry about the remaining blisters. Let them heal naturally. Remember to apply this
ointment.â
âThank you, doctor.â Cynthia took the medication.
As they left the hospital, Joshua followed along obediently. In the car, in an attempt to get to know
Cynthia better, he cautiously asked, âCynthia, do you not like boys who are scared of pain?
Cynthia was completely bewildered and did not quite catch what he said.
âIâll be a tough guy from now on,â Joshua added.
Cynthia did not pay much attention to it and focused on driving attentively. âOkay.â
Joshua breathed a sigh of relief. Sure enough, Cynthia liked boys who were unafraid of pain.
When they arrived at the residential area, Cynthia took Joshua upstairs
As for his clothes and personal belongings, the bodyguards had already delivered them to her place.
Cynthia opened the door, but a figure rushed toward her and hugged her before she could even take
off her shoes.
âCynthia!â
Shirley always missed Cynthia after not seeing her for a while.
Cynthia was slightly surprised. âWhat brings you here?â
âI had time off, so I came to visit you,â Shirley replied, still unaware of Joshua outside. Then, she
continued, âDidnât you see the messages I sent you?â
Cynthia remained quiet, thinking if she would get scolded if she admitted she did not see them.
Shirley knew well that Cynthia was not fond of using her phone.
âI knew you didnât see them!â
âI was busy and didnât pay attention. Iâll make sure to check them next time,â Cynthia assured her.
Î
âSince youâre my sister, Iâll forgive you. By the way, are those suitcases in the living room yours? They
donât seem to your previous style,â Shirley said.
Although they were all minimalist, most of Cynthiaâs belongings were silver or white. However, the two
suitcases in the living room were black.
Could it be?
Shirleyâs eyes lit up, and slae blurted out, âAre they from the guy next door?â
âNo,â Cynthia said as she changed her shoes and walked inside, revealing Joshua behind her. âTheyâre
his.â
âWhoâ¦â Shirleyâs voice trailed off. She looked past Cynthia and froze when she saw the person behind
her.
Joshua?!
Shirley pulled Cynthia toward the bedroom, closing the door before starting her rant.
âWhy did you bring him into your home? Are all those suitcases his?â
Cynthia simply nodded.
âHeâs living here?â
âYes.â
âCynthia!â Shirley became anxious, lowering her voice intentionally. âAre you st upid? Did you forget
what he did to you before?
He divorced her for another woman!
Shirley could not possibly agree to let this sc umbag live here, let alone want Cynthia to reconcile with
him.
