Chapter 603
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 603
Moe paused for a moment before immediately blurting out, âNo.â
She was his boss, and it would be improper to have such thoughts. Furthermore, he wanted to take
care of her for a lifetime, not possess her.
âReally? Not at all?â
âNo.â
âWeâve become close friends, so thereâs no need to feel embarrassed. Even if you did, I wouldnât mock
you,â Yoel said, propping his head up and looking at him
âUnless Ms. Yates is hurt, asleep, or in some other special circumstance, I would hug her. However, in
all other situations, I wouldnât. And as for kissing, never,â Mor confessed, his words more candid due to
the alcohol.
Yoel studied him for a moment, making sure he was not lying but truly felt that way.
âIn that case, I can confirm with absolute certainty that your feelings for Ms. Yates is not romantic. Itâs
more like the protective and caring kind, like that of a family member,â Yoel sald, his voice slurred from
the alcohol
Upon hearing this, Mae mulled over all the interactions beâd had with Cynthia.
âOr maybe itâs like a brotherâs concern and care for his sister,â Yoel analyzed.
Moe added, âHowever, when I saw her appoint Matthew as the special assistant, and they were
together nearly every day, 1 felt uneasy, and I wanted to drive Matthew away.â
âDidnât I tell you? Itâs because you and Ms. Yates arenât actual siblings. Arch International has probably
only ever had one special assistant, and that was you. Itâs quite normal for you to feel threatened,
âYoel, still thinking clearly, said.
Moe sank into deep thought.
Standing up and putting his drink aside, Yorl said, âStop overthinking it, just trust me
Mue remained silent.
Ignoring Yoelâs words, Moe decided to freshen up and go to bed as soon as he sobered up a little. Both
of them, still somewhat lucid, returned to their rooms. After freshening up, they lay down in their
respective beds.
Moe fell asleep as soon as he hit the bed, not giving it another thought. However, Yoel Lay awake,
contemplating. Knowing that Mor harbored no romantic feelings for Ms. Yates brought a wave of relief
over him.
Considering the current situation, Ms. Yates had the company boss and Matthew by her sile. If Moe
truly had feelings for her, he would surely get hurt. The boss had let Ms. Yates down, but Matthew had
her trust and care. If they continued to spend time together, it was inevitable that Ms. Yates would
develop feelings for him.
Moe was bad at communicating his feelings and would not have the upper hand if he wanted to pursue
Cynthia. Fortunately, his feelings for Ms. Yates were purely protective.
After rubbing his aching temples, be switched on his phone, planning to reply to a message from the
boss, only to see a missed call notification The caller was his boss
Yoel gasped âDarnın it.â
He quickly sat up and dialed the number back.
It was half past one in the morning, and he was not sure if the boss was awake or asleep. As the dial
tone buzzed, his heart pounded in the silent, dark room.
After about seven or eight seconds, the call was answered.
âMr. Neal Yoel asked tentatively.
âYouâve got some nerve. Did you purposely switch off your phone?â Joshuaâs voice resonated with an
evident trace of
displeasure, carrying a dangerous edge.
Yoel began to fib, âNo, not at all. I was just dining with Moe and didnât notice that my phone had run out
of battery.â
Screenshot your home screen and send it to me,â Joshua unhesitatingly saw through his lie.
When Joshua left, he noticed that Yoelâs phone battery was fully charged. It had been only about two
hours, so it made no sense for the phone to be out of power.
