Chapter 620
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 620
For some reason, she found this information slightly unsettling.
âBefore the incident at Queneska Island, did you and Joshua make any sort of deal? Just tell me. In the
future, if you need my help, Iâll assist you once free of charge.â Cynthia, after careful deliberation,
posed her question.
Sean was surprised to hear that.
Such a tempting offer. Cynthiaâs fees were quite high. However, the success rate was always one
hundred percent when she lent a hand.
âThis puts me in a difficult position,â Sean confessed, his tone gentle.
Cynthia did not respond.
After a long pause, Sean finally made a decision, âTelling you now wouldnât make any difference.
Moreover, I promised Joshua that I wouldnât.â
âI canât.â
Sean was firm.
you wonât tell me?
Recalling her previous negotiation with Sean during the rescue mission, Cynthia spoke, âYou
remember what you promised when you asked me to bring Yves to save Joshua, right?â
Sean paused, recollecting the conditions set by Yves: one billion US dollars and a favor owed to
Cynthia.
âI rememberâ¦â Seanâs response lacked certainty.
âThe favor I ask is to dissolve your deal with Joshua,â Cynthia asserted herself.
âAbout that⦠itâs too late.â Sean began hesitantly
Cynthia was taken aback.
Sean remained silent.
âWhat was your deal with him?â Cynthia inquired further.
âHello? Ms. Yates, can you hear me? Is the signal bad? Sean began to play dumb, pretending the
signal was poor.
Following this, he promptly hung up the call.
However, Cynthia was not about to let him off the hook
She dialed him immediately, not giving him a chance to turn off his phone
Sean rubbed his temples, wondering for the umpteenth time why Joshua was involved with Cynthia.
This put him in a difficult position
âIs the signal better now?â Cynthiaâs voice was indifferent, but Sean could tell she was beginning to
lose her patience. He knew it would not end well if he kept trying to evade her.
After careful consideration, he said, âThe signal is good now.â
âI need to know the details of your deal with Joshua,â Cynthia reiterated,
âI really canât disclose that. According to the initial conditions, I should tell you, however, the contract I
signed with Joshua specifies that under no circumstances should I disclose any details of the deal to
anyone.â Sean seemed somewhat helpless, his eyes betraying a swirl of emotions.

âSo?â
âIn order of precedence, I must first honor my contract with him,â Sean explained everything in one
breath.

Cynthia pursed her lips.
According to the terms, this was indeed the case,
However, she really wanted to know the content of the transaction between the two. She had a hunch
that it was not going to
be good news.
âIf you really want to know, you can ask him once his cognitive abilities and memory are fully restored.
As long as he is willing to tell you, I have no objections. This doesnât violate our agreement,â Sean
proposed after some thought.
Reluctantly, Cynthia agreed, âFine.â
âIf thereâs nothing else, Iâm going to hang up,â Sean quickly added. He did not want to talk any further.
