Chapter 623
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 623
Joshua was skeptical. Was this man really his father?
âIf youâre worried about being discovered, I can introduce you to the Neal family. I can also fill you in on
some basic information, so youâll be able to handle things.â Cynthia offered, her resources enabling her
to easily gather information.
âDo you really want me to go back?â Joshua asked, feeling unhappy.
Cynthia did not lie. âYes,â
Can you come to liverton to pick me up after the New Year?â
âMe?â
âI want you to pick me up.â This was Joshuaâs final compromise.
âI can, but I canât come directly to the Neal family.â Cynthia did not refuse.
If she were to go in the Neal family, it could cause Old Man Neal and Daphne to misunderstand.
Considering her nature, she would not go there unless absolutely necessary after the divorce.
The moment they saw her, Old Man Neal and the others might indeed assume that they were
remarried. Joshua mulled it over, even though he was well aware that he no longer had a choice in the
matter. Both Cynthia and his father were present, not giving him any chance to refuse.
Then you must pick me up, come on the second day of the New Year.â Joshua finally conceded.
Cynthia looked over at Felix, who gave a nod of approval. Taking that as confirmation, Cynthia agreed.
After their meal, Felix checked into a hotel and reminded Joshua that he needed to head home by the
18th at the latest.
During the three days that followed, Cynthia introduced Joshua to every member of the Neal family and
shared stories of their past. Just to be on the safe side, she also introduced him to his own friends,
Chyler included. With several days back home ahead, no one could predict whom Joshua might
encounter. Thorough preparation was the best approach.
Time flew swiftly, and the 18th arrived all ton soon. With great reluctance, Joshua allowed Felix to
collect him. Cynthia instructed Joshua, âAfter you return, maintain the persona that I told you about.
With your acting skills, you should have no problem.â
âAlright.â Joshua obediently agreed
âActing skills?â Felix looked a bit surprised. He was unaware that his son p
possessed such a talent.
Cynthia gave a simple explanation without revealing the part about Joshuaâs knack for deceptive
storytelling. She merely mentioned that she had discovered his acting ability. Felix took another look at
Joshua but said nothing more.
Once everything that needed to be said was covered, Felix led Joshua away. They arrived at the Neal
family residence at three in the afternoon. Felix, exuding a sense of calm and gentleness, adjusted his
attire. He seemed like the type of cultured man who was incapable of losing his temper.
âYoung Master, youâre back,â the butler expressed surprise upon seeing then.
âYes, are Mrs. Neal Senior and Old Man Neal home? Felix replied nonchalantly.
âThey are. Young Master Neal has just returned. He brought many gifts with him. They are in the main
hall.â the butler nodded, relaying the situation.
Felix then led Joshua in that direction. As they appeared, the gaze of everyone in the room fell upon
Joshua as if they had not expected to see him.
âBrother?â
âJoshua?â
âI thought you said you werenât coming back?â
All three voiced their surprise.
Felix glanced at Joshua as they walked further into the room. âHe wasnât planning on returning.
However, it took quite a bit of persuasion to convince him.â
Joshua rolled his eyes. Felix was talking credit for something he did not do.
