“No need. Just be yourself. Matthew glanced at her while continuing to drive.

“No.”

Two hours later, the car stopped at a hacienda. After getting out of the car, Matthew handed the car

They strolled in, chatting as they went.

Without taking any detours, Matthew led Cynthia straight to meet his parents,

Hank Quier and Tracy Quier rose immediately upon seeing Cynthia and Matthew, greeting them with

faces beaming with

smiles.

“Mom, Dad, this is Cynthia, my girlfriend

“Very good, very good. Come, have a seat.” Tracy’s eyes were brimming with laughter as she turned to

Cynthia.

“Butler, prepare some tea.”

Tracy then engaged Cynthia in a bout of casual chatter.

Looking at this, Matthew was somewhat surprised. He had not expected his mother to be this

enthusiastic

He knew Cynthia was not quite used to handling such situations and also found his mother’s

enthusiasm today to be rather over the top. Therefore, he decisively stood by Cynthda, holding her

hand. “I’ll show her my room first. You two can continue your chat.”

“Alright.” Tracy did not object.

Once their son left with Cynthia, Tracy turned to Hank. “Cynthia is indeed very beautiful, sensible and

polite.”

“Does it?”

“Did Matthew mention it before?”

“No. That brat can keep secrets better than anyone, there’s no way we would have heard it from him.”
