Chapter 662
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 662
Joshua ching to her arm, terrified. âNo, donât! Iâm scared.â
Cynthia turned on all the lights in the living room, trying to calm him down. However, she
underestimated Joshuaâs fear. No matter what she said, Joshua still held onto her arm, overwhelmed
by fear and dread.
Helpless, Cynthia had no choice but to take him to his room. As the door opened, they were greeted
with a floor covered in bloodstains, with some on the walls as well.
The scene looked somewhat horrifying.
Cynthia turned on the lights to examine more closely, but to her surprise, the bloodstains vanished
completely when the lights came on
âCynthia
âWhat did you do in your room today?â Cynthia remained composed.
âNothing. After lunch, I returned to my room and took a nap. Then I went downstairs to buy some stuff
and stayed in the living room the whole time, not going anywhere else,â Joshua confessed, looking
innocent
Cynthia thought it did not add up as she distinctly heard some noise from his room in the afternoo
âAre you telling the truth?â Cynthia asked him.
Still appearing innocent, Joshua replied, âCynthia, donât you believe me?â
Cynthia frowned.
If Joshua was telling the truth, it meant that the person in his room in the afternoon was not him but a
third person. However⦠the thought of how well Joshua managed to put on an act for so long made
her wonder if he was lying to her again.
âWhy donât you go out first? That way, you wonât disturb the scene. Iâll call the police to handle this,â
Cynthia decided to bluff
him
âOkay,â Joshua complied obediently.
Cynthia hesitated.. Could it really not be him?
âWait! Wait! Donât call the police!â A voice suddenly emerged from under the bed.
Following the voice, a disheveled, paleâfaced person crawled out from underneath, with blood oozing
everywhere.
âItâs me!â
âAllâ Joshua cried out again, clinging tighter to Cynthiaâs arm
Cynthiaâs heart skipped a beat. She was not afraid of ghosts, but seeing a terrifying face appearing out
of nowhere was still shocking.
Then, Cynthia examined the âghostâ, dressed in a white dress with disheveled long hair and makeup so
exaggerated that it was hard to recognize her real appearance.
âWho are you?â Cynthia could not recognize hier.
Nadia pushed her hair back and grinned at Cynthia, saying, âItâs me, Nana.â
Cynthia glanced around the room and asked, âDid you do all this in the room?â
The cheerful Nadia replied seriously, âI just wanted to scare that scumbag for you. Iâve learned a lot
about you and him during this time, and Iâm definitely on your side!â
âYouâre so childish.â Cynthia was getting annoyed.
Nadia felt awkward and asked, âAre you mad at me?â
âClean up and come out again.â Cynthia closed the door.
Nadia replied, âOh.â
Back in the living room, Cynthia sat with Joshua on the sofa, and he still clung to her as if he would be
afraid if he let go.
âCynthia, Iâm scared, Joshua continued holding her hand, feeling uneasy.
âItâs okay.â Cynthia did not know how to comfort him. She never expected this to be Nadiaâs doing.
âDonât be afraid.â
Logically speaking, Nadia would not do something so childish. Most importantly, how did she even get
in? Even if she knew the password or could bypass it, she should have been caught by Joshua, who
was in the living room.
