Chapter 75
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 75
Cynthia, who was not added to the conversation, had no idea that she had become a topic of
discussion between them. When she heard her phone ring, she glanced at it, and her eyes widened at
Yoelâs message.
Joshua noticed her reaction and quickly grabbed her phone to see the message. However, his
expression turned sour when he
read it.
He was infuriated by Yoelâs behavior and vowed to withhold all of his bonuses for the year!
âAre you done reading my messages?â Cynthia asked, aware that Joshua was looking at her phone.
Joshua lightened his grip on the phone, intending to throw it at her. However, he accidentally touched
the screen, which took him to the messaging interface. Then, he saw Shirleyâs name and the group
chat named The Seven Dwarfs.
Shirleyâs chat ended with an animated emoji, while The Seven Dwarfsâ chat was constantly updating
with new messages from Little Jerry. Then, Joshua saw Mitchellâs name, whom Cynthia had chatted
with only yesterday!
The chat ended with just two wordsâGood night.
For some inexplicable reason, Joshua suddenly wanted to open Mitchellâs chat and see what they had
talked about. Why were they so intimate that they said âgood nightâ to each other? Did Cynthia say
âgood nightâ to Mitchell, or did Mitchell say it to Cynthia?
As various emotions swirled within him, he tapped on Mitchellâs chat. However, Cynthia snatched the
phone back from him. before he could even read the content.
She turned off the screen and glared at him with a hint of displeasure.
âMr. Neal, itâs one thing to lose your manners and sanity, but itâs another thing to go through someoneâs
phone without their consent. I donât recall Grandpa teaching you to behave this way,â Cynthia finished
speaking her mind.
âWhat did you talk to Mitchell about?â Joshua asked coldly, with a hint of accusation in his voice.
âItâs none of your business,â Cynthia replied to him.
âShow me. I have reason to suspect that you have told the Neal Groupâs confidential information to
him,â Joshua demanded with a grandiose reason, not even knowing why he was so insistent on
wanting to know.
âYou can call the police,â Cynthia said calmly.
Her indifferent attitude provoked Joshua.
âCynthia!â
âHow many times do I have to remind you, calling the police is the most reliable way to solve problems.
The police will give you the fairest answer,â Cynthia said calmly.
âDonât force me to do it myself.â
âOnly you could describe ârobbing othersâ so beautifully,â Cynthia retorted.
âCynthia!â
âDo you want to fight?â Cynthia questioned.
Joshuaâs hands hanging at his sides tightened slightly, and the pressure around him was low. If it were
anyone else, they would have been scared off by his aura and dared not to breathe.
He really could not connect with the person in front of him who was so aggressive and different from
the gentle person he had known before.
âItâs been hard for you to suppress your true nature and pretend to be gentle these past few years,â he
thought sarcastically.
Cynthia responded, âLikewise, you pretended to be affectionate.â
Joshuaâs breathing was heavy, and his eyes were extremely dark.
If it were not for his Old Man Neal and his parents being too concerned about Cynthia, he would have
definitely left her with no way out after the divorce.
âYou should be grateful that Grandpa cares about you. Otherwise, Iâll definitely give you back ten times
what you did to Jayleen,â Joshua said harshly, not considering the consequences.
âYou should also be grateful that he cares about you. Otherwise, I would have thrown you into the sea
to feed the fish by now,
Cynthia retorted.
They entered a staring match with each other.
